I was trying to get the smallest PC I could get, and not sacrifice performance, but I'll change some stuff around.

Re: Whats your pc?
I mean there is nothing wrong with it but a comparable ATX build $$$ wise will give you more performance vs the mITX. mATX is somewhere between the two. Also keeping air circulation in such a small case is a challenge and cable management will be a nightmare.DBRider251 wrote:I was trying to get the smallest PC I could get, and not sacrifice performance, but I'll change some stuff around.
There is virtually no space for air to move in a loaded up Elite 130.

I assume this is prebuilt? Would be kind of a shame to buy a 770 right now with 9xx coming out shortly. Technically its still 4 cores but with HT will be 8 threads.tymx33 wrote:ASUS Tower

Re: Whats your pc?
You guys trying to build PC's just wait like a couple more hours until the nVidia event is over and see when the new GPU's are out and priced at. It's literally today and might be worth seeing.
What i7 is getting put in there that putting it in a H** board is worth the price? Getting a good i5 and good Z** board seems like a better option.
That build list seems fine but why 750GB? I can't imagine the price difference between the 1TB is that huge right? Other than that I see nothing odd. Games don't have great support for multi core yet but supposedly with DX12 you will see the improvement AMD has been in need of so maybe it will pay off there.

Re: Whats your pc?
I have a mechanical keyboard again and I'm so happy. I thought people were weird for being picky about which kind of switches they get but now that I have had Cherry MX Blue and this one being Red I can tell you its a noticable difference. May take some time to get used to the Red as it has more of a cushioned feel and the Blue had almost no resistance but I'm never going back to membrane keyboards again if I don't have to. I understand money issues for some so going big on mice and keyboards isn't a needed thing but once you do it is the biggest change you would have never expected. Going to go play with my 16.8 MILLION COLOR OPTIONS NOW!

BTW, I thought i was one of those people who wanted to be noticed by companies and tweeting them you love them would be cool but its not all its worked up to be or I'm not into random people favorite my things. One of the two, either way don't think I'll go that route again. #subtweet
PS. Had a similar tweet when I bought like 4 pairs of Puma's and a jacket and tried to get the Puma twitter to notice me multiple times and got nothing... Newegg doing this kind of hurts that wound just a little more.

Re: Whats your pc?
The board only has 4+1 phasing so is not recommended for the 8 core CPUs. I would spend a few more bucks and get a board with at least 6+2 (list here: http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-m ... o-database) my recommendation is ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0. This is the problem I have been facing with my Render Node Build, the VRM is not robust enough to handle powering my FX-8350 without overheating and when it does it downclocks the chip to 1.3ghz until it cools down and then bumps it back up again. You may be able to get away with the cheaper board (or if you dont want to run it at 100% for hours on end like I do) but it may require some tweaking in Bios. There may be a Gigabyte board that is similar but they have so many I don't feel like digging through all of them. You could also check Asrock, they seem to be slightly less expensive vs. MSI/Gigabyte/Asus.DBRider251 wrote:Is this a good build SMR? I think I have mine figured out I undervolted VRAM to keep the VRM cooler and it seems to be working ok so far. Heatsinks show up tomorrow so that should help as well.

Didn't even notice. I think my bro was messing with it earlier and I just seen a HDD already there. I got 1TB now, and I upgraded the board. Thanks for the help guys. Watching this game24 stream is so gosh damned painful. These idiots that are watching the stream have more money than sense and its becoming extremely hard to watch and enjoy them showing new tech when they are just screaming at each other and how bored they are the new GTX isn't out yet.

That is a terrible asking price. Puma is just trying to scam you guys out of your hard-earned paychecks.

GTX980 and 970 confirmed with pricing. If anyone is looking to buy a GTX 780 I know a guy who might be selling one. I'm still unsure if I want a 780Ti or if i would upgrade to the 980 but either way no one makes waterblocks for the reference 780 card anymore so I'll have to get a different one for my loop.

Re: Whats your pc?
That whole presentation was cool but mostly useless. Showing a bunch of stuff that no games will take advantage of for a long time. I will say the pricing on the new cards is very competitive though. Will be interesting to see the non reference versions coming out to see what everyone did with them.

Re: Whats your pc?
This is the laptop I just bought. For $550 it's pretty OK, and I'm not planning on doing anything too strenuous gaming-wise so I just picked one with an i5 and 8GB of RAM. It's been a while since I've been excited about a laptop, but I think I've finally found myself in the right spot to use one, so that's cool. I was surprised to find anything with 8GB of RAM and a discrete GPU for under $800 to be completely honest.

All I care about the new GPUs is that Puma will finally sell me his 780 for $50 or something.
