MXS Midwest ride day

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Sunset, Kahoka, and MC would work for me. I would be down for sure, if you could get tie ins with sunset that sounds like the best bet. If its anymore south though like St. Louis I probably wouldn't be able to make it due to qualifiers and it would be to expensive of a trip to make right now.

Just to reinforce this: Kahoka is an awesome track, but it's not a sure bet to be open on a consistent basis, so it might be a little harder to plan. I might be able to get in touch with someone who knows the owner personally though. He farms so he'll be here for planting season, but at some point he usually goes to the Phillipines for most of the summer. There were talks about someone running the track for him while he's gone for a couple of years now but I haven't heard if anything actually came out of them. I'll see if I can find someone who knows the owner personally and talk to them.

I'm a poor college student, so I can't really drive very far. If we decide on somewhere other than Kahoka I may not be able to go. Not that you all need to worry about that. It won't kill me if I can't make it.

Other than being really hard on motors and the body Kahoka is awesome. I love the dirt haven't been there since I was on 65's due to it shutting down.

Freaking duh. I can't believe I forgot about Thunder Ridge. It's in Kirksville, MO, which is still pretty well in the northeast corner of the state.

Here's a vid. Couldn't find a decent helmet cam from there. There used to be several but apparently they're not there any more.

Just put Kirksville, MO into google maps. It's like a mile east of town. Here's a website. http://www.thunderridge-mx.com/

There's also DCMX in Dallas City, IL. A couple of guys who live right down the road from me to me go ride there every so often as well as the guys who run Thunder Ridge. The dirt looks awesome, but being Illinois, it's basically flat. Looks like a freaking fun track anyway. Also, it is ALWAYS prepped. If he's holding practice it is going to be prepped.

Thunder looks alright to me but DCMX is flat and pretty small. If thats where we decide then that fine but I'd rather drive 6 hours to ride somewhere else.
