The Other Racing Games Topic

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

I hibernate between the NEO races it seems. May come back for next season with the HPD. Had so much fun with that series.

Was gonna try and go pro, but I won't have the time to do the actual pro races. So I think I'll stick to the NEO hosted seasons.

What do you guys think of the offical iRacing races? I feel like they've died down a ton in the last year. They need a revamp or something for sure.
Never raced NEO before, but really want to give it a try next season. It has pretty much everything I'm looking for. Multiclass including prototypes and Gt cars and endurance!

I think the official races has had low interest lately due to the release of driver swap and this beeing a short 6 week season. Might be more going on next season. Or people are just racing Gt3, SM, SBR or other oval series since they're always stacked.
We missed the cut for this years NES, but we made the GOT. They're a lot of fun but I feel like the whole iRating/SR system could be integrated into it somehow. It'd make it a lot more fun for me at least.

Played some AC for the first time in a while since I didn't renew my iRacing subscription (might eventually but I didn't play it enough to warrant it). Tried the McLaren on Spa to see how it compared to iRacing. The car definitely has a lot less understeer and feels like it has more traction, just overall much easier to push the car and have it do what you want. I'd say iRacing is still the better sim, but the graphics on AC are amazing... 8:00 in the morning on Spa, the sun glare coming back towards the pits!

I see they're at the same point SimBin was when they released GTR (although iRacing worked on physics way more). In order to run the 24hrs of Spa, the day/night cycle was literally a track change until they came up with realtime lighting change in GTR2. So, changeable weather, track conditions and daylight is all they need.

Renewed my iRacing subscription for a year with the black friday deal but havn't played since september because I didn't bring my wheel to uni. I'll probably bring it when I come back after christmas but the internet on campus is wifi only  I'm not sure what my connection will be like, it seems to vary a lot.

A video from the trackmania world championships. My teammate Andy 'Sabre' Wilson got a solid 5th!
I got back addicted as well, still between 0,9-1,2 seconds of the world records :|. I hope to be back on my game by the valentines weekend. In that weekend it's the Frag-O-Matic, the biggest LAN of Belgium.

PS: After playing mxs for so long it's incredibly enjoyable to ride a racing game with ghost mode 8) .

What series are you guys doing this season? I was thinking WSCS and GT3 and maybe some C-Spec. Not sure what to drive in WSCS, though.

btw Robin, your iRacing videos are getting better and better with every one. You're definitely up there with Staz and you should be getting 20x as much views. Very well done!

If you're doing RUF cup, why not race c-Spec on WSCS

I was thinking about that. but I'm not so fast in the c-spec. I'll probably end up doing maybe one c-spec race in total.
