I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Yamahas are brutal. Just ask Stewart. That track is easy though... Funnest track like that around here.

Read the comments kind sir... "Angelo Fella 12 hours ago

Oh shit!
Reliability on ALL the new MX bikes is on a donwnward spiral...
:-("
The reply says "Jimmy Bowron 10 hours ago

Yeah pretty crazy huh? He's a top 20 ama pro so he's pretty hard on his bikes. This one just had a little flaw in the motor..."

Whoa man, takes insane brain power and analysis to make that post.

Being serious, there was probably just something wrong with the bike in the first place and it was a rare defect from Kawi. Will be interesting to see if more 2012 KX450Fs do it, though.

Two stroke bikes throw connecting rods as well. It's not like it was a four stroke problem

Didn't mean to click submit on that one, lol.

How is that dude a top 20 AMA pro, he's number 64...pretty sure that makes him a top 64 AMA pro. Still impressive none-the-less, I just don't understand the reasoning.

A four stroke 250 turns 3,000 RPM more than a two stroke 250. Are you really saying that doesn't make throwing a rod more likely?

Sure, four strokes are the root of all evil, and the ONLY cause of the downfall of amateur mx participation. I mean, the biggest the MX market ever was, was in 2007, and four strokes weren't around then, they all showed up just after that, you know, when everyone stopped racing MX.

I was just saying that they both have connecting rods, and they both fail from time to time. These are racing machines we're talking about, tight tolerances and high RPM's are what it's all about. I like to think of two strokes like farming implements, low maintenance and will last a long time. 8)
