Whats your pc?

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Thats why Im not going to try buy it all seperate by myself. I have no idea where to even start. Ill either buy the Leader I posted or go with the one this blokes making me.
There are only 10 things you need to build a pc.

Case
Processor
Graphics card
Motherboard
ram
dvd/cd drive
power supply
Hard drive
operating system
And thermal.paste (if you can find "ic diamond" buy it. It reduced my friends temps.by 10 degrees.
over arctic silver5) Of course, you will still need a monitor, mouse, keyboard, and if you plan on.lostening to music, or want to game in high quality, a sound card with some speakers.

I can't understand why peope are buying a I7 2600k at 400 $ and a lil GTX 560 for a gaming Rig... A simple I5 , or some amd are a lot cheaper, then you can buy a middle-higt range vidéo card, or a crossfire - SLI, having better gaming performance for gaming. Who need a 5ghz cpu? guys who are doing benchmark 24/24...

Hi guys, I am the guy building Dylan a pc.

1. hes in australia and 99% of newegg/amazon wont ship here.
2. buying parts online is fine but he is not confident building it himself.
3. i am supplying him with a system that is more than adequate, including a 5 hour return trip to deliver it to him

in a semi remote area.

sadly a lot of shop rely on marketing numbers, like the Leader pc he posted first. People see i7 and 8gb ram and

get all excited. When 99% of applications wont use more than 2 cores (i7 has 8 threads), its a stupid waste of

money. Add the 2gb GT520 graphics card, which may as well be onboard gpu, even his lappy is faster than that thing.

stop whining about it, gaming pc's and custom work is all I do, and becuase he's in the same state as me, i am able

to help him out further setting it up etc for him as well.

if you want to see some more of my work, message me

and yes, i know hardware, this is the standard i work to, one of my recent customers ones

Cheers

Ryan

P.S. you dont want to know whats in my pc

exactly. Even an i5 2500k is to much in most cases. That's why I went with a Phenom II x4 965BE, and an XFX Radeon 6870. There shouldn't be any bottlenecking. A GTX 560 will Bottleneck the crap out of an i7 2600k.

The 2GB version, especially for MXS (higher texture settings).

I bought my 2600k for under $300 so thats false, I also bought a GTX 580 Card to go with it. as for the cheaper comment, the only other processor I was looking at was the 2500k but for the price I got on the I7 I was happy.

Ballsfalsky- only other item you would need is a sound card if the mobo does not have one built in or one that is not satisfactory.

Hey man, I've always known quite a bit about computers.

Here is an article talking about Ivy Bridge performance gains over SB.

Here is some new stuff about the new HD 7000 series coming out soon, 7000 series is going to be badass.

I know that. Its built in. I listen to music with my phone, with an app called power amp. It has a 10 band equalizer and all that jazz. If I feel the need for a sound card, I will look into a good one. The Ga-990xa has built in 7.1 audio. If I get good speakers (ie. Yamaha Pianocraft E410's), ill look into it further.

we know that, but some of us have tight budgets. Id rather have a new silencer for my bike, or a new set of gear than a better processor.
