I can't quite tell from the images and video, does the low pressure cylinder actually ignite like the two normal cylinders? Is there really that much left to be burnt? Maybe I should look at my thermo notes again to better understand this .

Yeah, I was hoping someone would be able to explain the third cylinder within some discussion tbh. Is it driven by exhaust like a turbo or is it using exhaust as intake?

The exhaust from the two normal high pressure cylinders is the intake, it operates like a normal 4-stroke cyclinder but just doesn't have fresh air coming in. I don't understand how it's burning further/igniting though.
