Whats your pc?

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Don't take any offense to this, but you did plug in the front panel connectors right? And make sure that they were all plugged in correctly? If so, it may be drivers.

Also if back panel audio wont work then youll need to check your drivers like mxsrider said. Its very easy to get your header cables mixed up though.

Right click the little speaker emblem on the bottom and open up playback devices. Make sure the sevuce you're trying to use is enabled.

Finally finished building and wiring my home cinema setup in the new house today :D I'm using my gaming pc as the HTPC right now and my old Mac mini as a "Always on PLEX-Server" so I can stream all of my Music and Movies/Series all across the house. Not 100% happy with the current setup yet because my PC is pretty much overpowered for just streaming content from the PLEX server and I am not used to playing games on a 3m in diagonal screen yet haha :D

Anyone has experience with/or recommendations for low end PC's just for streaming 4K content and music through the network? I'm looking for spending like 500-600€ on it so any help would be welcome and well appreciated :)

Btw here's what it looks like right now. Was watching The Walking Dead when I took this photo and it just looks and sounds so appealing

I'm using a refurb Dell Optiplex for mine, really just needs any sort of iGPU capable of outputting the resolution. Your room looks so much cooler though!

I'd also look into maybe the Roku/Amazon Fire because I believe they can connect to a NAS/server device as an external drive, not sure if the Fire can do 4k but Roku can.

I would just build one. You have the budget and there are some cool HTPC cases you can use.

Mine is a i5 2400, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD and external HDD for storage with torrents. I use Plex/VLC to play most everything, VNC to connect and use my phone as a mouse/keyboard. PC isn't even in the same room, super handy.
