2017 Supercross Discussion

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Bob, just drop it bud. We aren't having to choose between LCQ's and other races, and this isn't 10+ years ago when there was no coverage. This is 2017, and we have seen each race in the night program for the better part of the last number of years. Can't see why you have to argue against wanting to see more racing, but to each their own, I guess.

I'm sorry that your small mind has to have the super basic crap laid out in front of you for you to enjoy it. The fact that you got offended because someone voiced their opinion illustrates that wonderfully.
where did i get offended? i was just poking at the guy that seemed so upset about it, like it made the whole event not worth watching... yall are the offended ones. lol...

you act as if the broadcast has been growing strong for a long time. last number of years? was every race even live last year? i know the year before they all werent... and in an industry so many people say are dying, im not gonna act spoiled and entitled to anything. if they needed that time for commercials to make money and keep the broadcast live, then it is what it is. id love to see every race, including the 50's.. shit i even watch practice. even C practice
Big Smooth one3 wrote:While I can appreciate internet bickering as much as the next guy, this is a pretty damn simple argument:
  1. Were you watching a race broadcast?
  2. Did they show all of the racing?
  3. Why?
If they had shown every race, the logical path through these 3 questions is:
  1. Were you watching a race broadcast? "yes"
  2. Did they show all of the racing? "yes"
  3. Why? "Uh...because it's a race broadcast...that's the point."
That not happening is the fundamental complaint. Set aside the other bullshit you want to argue about, it's a race broadcast that didn't show all of the racing. If you can't understand why that isn't a good thing, then you're just stubborn for the sake on not wanting to be wrong, and there's no fixing stupid.

so you must have been super pissed for the last 30 years.. where they didnt even show one race entirely. had an hour of coverage that highlighted almost all the races, and had commercials during mains. usually at terrible times too, like right when a big pass was made.. guess im just to easy to please by getting to see all 24 laps of the main.

its crazy how much yall blew up me trolling a guy about how upset he was over an lcq though.. lol.. yall are something else. ill be at the detroit supercross though for any of you that wanna beat me up  im just glad ill know im safe during the LCQ

You're not "trolling anyone", and you're the only one on your side. You're just a complete and utter idiot. Yeah you should be fine nobody will want to beat you up because they'll be watching the racing like all the other real fans there.

you act like i was trying to troll you.. i wasnt. i was serious.. just the initial comment that got this going was me trolling cuz he seemed so mad. lol

and it will be in Detroit, im sure i could find at least a few people there that would be down to throw hands. lol.. plus i mean, theres lots of intermissions. or is that a big thing yall like to watch too? "man i cant believe they didnt air the dozer fixing that section, shit was intense" . or ill be there all day. so maybe in the pits? idk. just seems how mad some of you are you would find the time. i mean, as long as you dont miss the LCQs whats the problem? its the best racing of the night, so who cares if you miss a lap or too of the other races.. and hell awood. im even skinnier than you, so maybe you would actually have a chance in a fight for once in your life? could be fun.

Yea didn't botther reading the rest of your nonsense. Having fun? Should really venture outside sometime and see what that "grass" stuff everyone has been talking about is like.

Kudos on the troll, I guess. Blue ribbon for your achievement is in the mail, if you can make it outside to find the mailbox, that is.

Guess you HAVE to be a certain kind of fan. No casual moto types allowed to air out in here. The flames get pretty hot around here pretty quickly, don't they Bob? You were off base on your troll though.

Funny people join in when a funny person starts it. You're not "trolling", its just called being an idiot. Sadly people with low IQ's cant normally distinguish.

Apparently Forkners family is rich, they aren't taunting it and making it obvious, but he wasn't struggling (so I hear). A wood gets it, bob clearly doesn't know the ins and outs of the sport and you can't explain that to an outsider.

The Forkner thing isn't really making a specific point, but bob is making it sound like he was dirt poor.

The 250 LCQ is one of the races I look forward to watching all night long, I'm friends with a lot of the riders out there and hell I've even battled with some of them so it's awesome to see them do well. Blake Lilly, for example, has been working his ass off for years. Did he work less than someone that has a factory ride? No, does he have as much heart? Absolutely. He's been working his ass off trying to "make it", and by making it, that's making main events and doing what you love. It's ironic, the guys that "made it" were usually the kids at the track in their big rigs and huge Monster logo on the side of their truck, not saying they were rich, but the ones who could afford to race everything usually got the satellite ride. The ones who were dirt poor but collecting cans just to pay for entry fee (I know a few of those kids), are the ones out there busting their asses working 9-5 and riding on the weekends so they can afford to race SX. And for that, they deserve their 3 minutes of TV time.

As for bob117, you're a fucking disgrace to the moto community.

I know of people that have full time jobs and plenty of money with a pro license and just show up for the fun of it. Making memories with their friends and families. Just to say they did it. Not to try to be the next super stars. Most of them know they aren't going to make it that big. They are just having fun.
My guess is that they needed to fit all the military appreciation stuff in and had to cut something out. We will have a full race broadcast this week I bet.

Anyways, pretty cool video by dirt wurx. https://www.instagram.com/p/BPXtw2_Aduc ... =dirt_wurx

Sadly, I think they are going to nerf those long sections and take a single out of each one to get the turn farther from the home plate wall. Like this.
