2DMX: 2D Sim MX Game for Desktop and Android

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

You can't zoom in with the desktop version (at least I can't figure it out).
The buttons/text are tiny.
The game hangs when you race and then try to exit by hitting esc then quit.

I can mess with it some more tonight probably, but overall it looks like a great upgrade!
Can you post an image of the tiny text/buttons?

Is the game crashing or do the buttons just not work?

can you try to run the game from the console? Does mac have a console? If so try the following command:

java -jar 2DMX-Desktop.jar

This should allow any errors to be outputted to the console.

Thanks.
Sorry that I haven't replied all that quickly. Mac does have a console and that command does work so I will use that anytime in the future. As far as I can tell, all of the bugs that cause crashing/hanging are fixed.

In the newest version the buttons in the main menus are fine (they were small before), but the buttons in the editor are still small and hard to read (see picture).

Also, is there a way to access a description of what the buttons do? Most of them I remember from the previous iterations but some are a mystery.

Yeah the buttons are kind of small on the desktop. I'll look into that in the future.

The Buttons from left to right on the bottom are:

Undo
Redo

Copy Selected Verts
Cut Selected Verts
Paste Verts

Delete Selected Verts

Save Selected Verts as Segment
Load Segment

Save

The tools on the left side from top to bottom are:

Select Single Vert
Select Multiple Verts

Add Single Vert
Draw Verts

Edit Start/Finish Lines

Let me know if you guys have any other questions.

Thanks

P.S. Can you post that track? It looks fun.

Thanks for the menu layout, that will help a lot!

I am still fine tuning the track, but the link is:

AAA MX: http://uploading.com/files/get/bb6meb49/AAA%2BMX.mxt

(Hopefully that link works out, I just found a random hosting service.)

It is fairly easy, but I think it flows pretty well on the phone.

That track is a lot of fun. Any chance I could include it in the next release? I can give you credit on the release notes. Let me know. Thanks.

been playing again the game, a few suggestions i´d like.
1- suspension tunning
2-beziers in track editor
3-buttons with name in track editor
3-key shortcuts in track editor (q=select point a=add point w=select multiple points ctrl+c=copy points ctrl+v=paste points ctrl+z=undo etc.)
4-editable rider and bike (skins)(without having to unzip the exe xD)
5-Editable track textures and background.
6-Movable background (like mad skills motocross)

that´s for now i think xD
the game is looking great so far! :D

Thanks a lot for the input. Most of these things are planned. Actually when I redid the track editor I had Ctrl c x v for cut copy paste And Ctrl z y for undo redo. They must have got messed up during some of the refactoring. I'll get those back in there. Thanks again.
