Political Debate Thread

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

My mistake, I read that as the end of his term not 2020 there at the end of the quote.

I've been totally sickened by the influx of drug addicted homeless exploiting our "coddle and supply the addict" policies as well as "let the protests go unabated" by a feeble liberal city council in Portland. That pales in comparison to turning "The Land of the Free" into a far-right-free-for-all taking over whatever the fuck you want like the Malheur Refuge with those Bundy defects and now the very halls of congress. A true insurrection hasn't happened in modern times until Trump blatantly encouraged it, at the very least. Now you throw that word around like that's what's been happening all along with liberal protests like Kent State etc. to go so far back. It's funny how a buzzword get's intercepted and completely misused as soon as possible. Like treason. If telling your own constituents to attack congress is not treason, then please give a better example. I don't copy and past any numbers or polls from anyone. Occasional quote's I've seen on video myself, yes.

You are being critical of me having sources to substantiate my views? You should give it a try sometime...

$2 Billion dollars in damage are the estimates I am reading from this summers demonstrations. Thousands of injured officers, several killed. Millions in damages to state and federal buildings across the nation. I watched in Iowa, my home state, have riots completely defacing our colleges and capitol. Many left wing politicians in powers had little to condemn, many failed to even recognize that there was even violence. The MSM spun it all to "peaceful protests provoked violent by our police". Michelle Obama herself still thinks this past summer was the model of peaceful protesting.

Not only did they fail to acknowledge it for what it was, many encouraged it! Congress representatives were saying things along the lines that there needs to be "unrest in the streets!" and calling for their supporters to surround and intimidate their rivals when they were in public.

I agree with you on this. Words have very specific meaning, and the tactic is sadly to take these words and misinterpret them to aid in the narrative you want to confirm. Coup, insurrection, treason, incitation, racist, xenophobic, russian agent, etc..

The irony is, I don't think you realize how often you do this.

I guess you don't have a better example of our own president committing treason than January 6th. Fair enough.

Remember when Bin Laden was sending messages from within his caves and tunnels about fatwas and jihad? Well, ol' bald, orange, fat man has been reduced to the same thing. Except instead of decrees, he's still trying to roast and rip through these means. So sad!

It's weird how silent he's been since the Twitter ban. It's like he's completely vanished. You'd think he'd be calling in to Hannity or whoever. Probably in his best interest not to talk now but it's weird.

It's very relaxing and relieving. It's like popping a giant, throbbing pustule and having it heal over. Exactly like that.

Unification has been dead since cancel culture started. They don't want to be unified with people with different ideas, they want them silenced.

You mean like what they're doing to their fellow Republicans that voted to impeach? Hmmm. Not hypocritical at all.

Turning a blind eye to any wrongdoing is not a political thing, it's a republican thing. If someone needs to be held accountable to prove that they mean what they say then it should be done. Going from "You can't prosecute a sitting president" to "Why prosecute him, he's not the president anymore" sets an absolutely terrible precedent. We are just saying out loud a president can do whatever they want, then once they are done doing it, it no longer matters anyway? Just like many times a loophole is found, exploited for themselves, then right before an election they close those loopholes. One of those being how many Executive Orders were signed to have things passed short-term instead of going through the Senate for a bill/law and why Biden will be allowed to make the same kind of orders or undo because they are specific to the Executive branch.

FTFY. Don't forget! You can't even mention what "constitutional" means, otherwise they whip out their pocket constitution and wholly misinterpret it right there!
