I've only had solidworks for about 2 weeks now, but my tip would be that you get familiar and good with creating sketches. Having clean sketches and measurements helps a lot with creating a nice product.

For SolidWorks you really need to completely constrain your sketches, all the lines should be black. The sketch tools are so powerful with all the different constraints, I wish autodesk products were 1/2 as good since that is all I use at work now.

I am truely impressed, those are some nice work (even tho might not be the typical 3d render stuff you see here but def new!)

First says Atom Holm which was a little harder to see with "Atom" but I really like Prodigy's one.
