SG12's last. They are mostly plastic outside, so they are easy to clean!adhkcrfhonda wrote:so im looking at buy some new boots. im going to get either astar tech 10s or gaerne sg12s. anybody have sg12s and can comment on the durability?

Would you rather live in the States or Netherlands? Yeeah...
Re: MXS Twitter
never been to the states so i cant say on that one, however when i went to the netherlands it was a nice place, such a laid back atmosphere.Judge wrote:stevoktm wrote:Thought you were moving to holland to eat some frikandel with wilco?Judge wrote:Going to stay, that's why I want a job or a girl to marry.. green card son![]()

Neither of them last as long as they should for how much they cost. I think Sidi's are durable.wheels1758 wrote:SG12's last. Sidi's are really nice boots. I loved mine. I also like my TCX pro 2's. They were around the same price as the sg12's (a little more give or take), but I got em 1/2 price, so I didn't hesitate. Super comfy and the buckles are awesome. Not to mention the build quality is amazing and the hinge system works really well. Only one bad thing I have to say about them. They squeak like there's no tomorrow.
Re: MXS Twitter
I got Tech 10s and I love them, they just fit like no other boot can for me.

Re: MXS Twitter
I've never had Sidi's or TCX's but I heard they are both good. I have Tech 10's because I got them for $50, new. But I had to spend $139 to get new soles at the end of the season. Got Sidi soles now.

Re: MXS Twitter
I can't remember if my TCX soles are changeable, but I know I'd buy another pair for sure. They are really waterproof for those muddy days, but breath really well at the same time. I'd say get whatever boots you find the most comfortable. Nothing is worse than riding with a pair of uncomfortable boots!
Re: MXS Twitter
Sidi's are like shoes for MX. Everything else is a steel toe redwing...
