I continue to learn Zbrush. This software is amazing !
Re: 3d animation/renders
Pretty bad quality render but OK. I should build a new pc to get better results without waiting whole day. Used Cycles and played with PS a bit.
Re: 3d animation/renders
new render of my old A3 from 2008
Re: 3d animation/renders
Render looks sick.Oh and I like the german numberplate.
Tennis, Basketball and Baseball all requires one ball
Motocross requires two!

If you dont want to use as many samples you can always play a bit in the compositor to get rid of fireflies and noise.Jre wrote:I should build a new pc to get better results without waiting whole day.
You may know about it already but here is a great tutorial that shows in detail how to do it. http://cgcookie.com/blender/2013/02/18/ ... ting-node/
Render I did long time ago just to try it out. pretty effective but I guess 20 samples is a bit to low but it's pretty sick with just 1,4 min render time with a fairly cheap graphic card

FMF pipe, used as banner on my facebook page from now on. Credit to Will Hughes for the sticker!
Re: 3d animation/renders
My latest work. All the rivets and dents are normal mapped. Spec map for the scratches. Used blender as always and the background is probably one of my worst PS work ever.

Re: 3d animation/renders
Jre that is amazing, the normal and spec map on the model look amazing
Re: 3d animation/renders
Jre, really like the concept you have going, especially the camera eyes!
Some CC for ya:
I feel as if the scratches are random and really don't make sense, they should accent edges and such places where wear would most likely happen. The legs don't really look like a polished metal with scratches either the normal kinda makes it look like a rough casting. Would be cool to see you try some PBR texturing with this model and see what you can come up with, as well would be a good thing to learn for your portfolio. PBR seems to be the way for the future with next gen games.
Other than that, the rivets, hydraulics, design, and model look really good from what I can see, especially that camera eye. That eye is cool as shit imo.
