Because you was racing way faster than you could, otherwise you will never get injured. There are so many 'good' riders, but to be very very good, you have to be able to control yourself at a very high speed. Some people can ride 2 laps as fast as the top guys, but they cant handle the bike the whole time, so they crash and get injured.
