Your opinion. When you mention anything relating to COD it reminds me of why I don't like BF3. Honestly, I'd rather play CS. You act like you're stating facts but it's just your opinion.Pumaxcs wrote:Could not be more wrong. The BF series is supposed to be a middle ground of ARMA and CoD. 64 players on 24 player maps just don't work and Close Quarters DLC proved that point. The game is fun and you must be playing it wrong. The large maps are suited for the vehicle gameplay and the guns have a realistic and controllable kick/aiming system that evens guns and adds a challenge. The game modes they have are some that they have had for a long time. I played 1942, and 2. I wanted 2142 really bad and I tried the BFBC games and I wasn't a fan of either. Once BF3 came out and I saw it was back to the way it should have been I preordered for both my PS and PC. I hardly played the PS3 version though because once I seen how awesome the maps were with the intended 64, how much better I am with mouse and keyboard, and how much better the game looked I couldn't go back to it. I think BF3 needs to pickup on the seelable point for CoD which is playing with friends, ie. splitscreen and minigames. Dice has dropped so many clues about this dinosaur idea and I hope that they follow through with it for BF4 as in my opinion that was the only way coD beat out BF because people like playing with friends they know aswell as online.

Once again, what do you think should have been done differently? Don't just bag on the game without providing backup.

Re: gaming
Like I said more like BC2. The game runs like shit. The guns are better in BC2. Just about everybody is using some sort of vehicle(while all seem to be OP). I don't like COD and that's all it reminded me of with the super fast paced shooting game modes(stop, drop, & shoot). 64 players is way overkill. The game had so much hype the launch was an epic fail with their 'technical difficulties'. I doubt I'll even ever buy another EA game honestly. I'm just not a fan of Battlefield anymore. Although, I do like the high quality sounds and decent graphics I wont lie about that!
Re: gaming
You think it "runs like shit?" Maybe you should turn down your settings or update your hardware or drivers, because I find that it's one of the best-optimized AAA title games that I've played in the past few years. I can easily run maxed-out graphics at a perfectly smooth framerate.
To me, it sounds like you just couldn't hang and got tired of being shit on.

Re: gaming

Been playing the Wasteland mod in Arma 3. Just imagine Dayz but no zombies. Huge map, scavenge, and a team based PVP with objectives. Really fun. Finally got a kill after getting sniped by like 10 people. T-boned this guy, got out and shot him in the back of the head while he was still driving. Such a fun game!!

I went through the same thing with some kids on here about GT5 vs. Forza and couldn't seem to get a straight answer other than "It just blows". My 2 cents are... COD is what kids play, BF is what they hate. COD still ain't got shit for vehicles(who doesn't like t.v. missiles or gunning from a chopper?). CS is so tired at this point. I can't believe that people still defend it. Just like the flaming of 'Poto for his move, you'll have rabid, die-hard fanatics that won't see the forest for the trees.KTM57 wrote:...it sounds like you just couldn't hang...

wasteland is fun, so far im running the game decent for an alpha. we need to get the list going on TS, a squad on ts communicating would dominate.

I can enjoy both COD and BF. The trick is to not expect COD when you load up BF or vice versa. I've never played CS, but I would like to try out CS:GO next time it goes on sale on Steam.TeamHavocRacing wrote:I went through the same thing with some kids on here about GT5 vs. Forza and couldn't seem to get a straight answer other than "It just blows". All I'm going to say about the BFBC2 campaign is it'll be very unexpected if they don't make a BFBC3.KTM57 wrote:I wish I hadn't just bought 3 other games. At least my spring break will give me a good amount of time to play Borderlands and the BFBC2 campaign!
I enjoyed the multiplayer in BFBC2 more than in BF3, maybe it's just because I played it more on Vent, but I liked the maps better (probably the main thing). Might play through the BF3 campaign again, it seemed sort of short though but I liked the way it went though it.
I'm not sure about getting Arma 3, I don't feel like I'll play it that much after the new game smell wears off in Teamspeak. For Arma 2 (stock version, I don't have any DLC/add-on packs) I tried playing through the campaign. I found it enjoyable, obviously a lot more slow paced and less direct than BF, but it was very buggy even with patches. I remember having to use the console to manually end missions because I couldn't finish them because of weird bugs, I don't think I even finished the campaign because of a bug. A few parts were funny though, I remember driving a civilian car I stole through some back-country mountainous hills to get to a mission with my squad, that thing could barely get up some of the hills

I don't think Arma 3 could be any more fun if you have a group of friends to play with. Just got done playing with Robert doing a Scuba Dive mission and it was a blast. Can't wait till more and more people get the game.

Re: gaming
Eh. I can play sim maxed out 40 people on the gate but in arma 3 I am playing on High graphics which is like the third of the 5 graphics settings. So If you want it to look good then yes.Ohagan75 wrote:do you need a decent PC to play it?
i might get it if my computer can handle it.

Its an unoptimized alpha, give them a little while to optimize.KaseoDip wrote:Eh.
