gaming

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

ARMA is taxing on your system, even when it is optimized.

What high horse? I simply said it's unoptimized. He should hold off on upgrading until Bohemia can get a good grip on what the actual requirements are for the game. So next time, dont assume and then insinuate like a cunt.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Nobody suggested they were thinking about upgrading for ARMA 3. Ohagan said he would get it if his PC could handle it, Kacey offered an easy comparison of how his PC handled Sim and ARMA 3. Nothing about upgrading or being disappointed that warranted your response. Maybe I'm not the one who is assuming and insinuating...

no game should ever compare to sim to another game vice versa thats rule of thumb for graphics and optimization (no offense good/bad)

if you can run any current games that came out last year you can handle arma 3, not at a constant fps or at high but you can play it and its enjoyable etc. basically if you have a decent 500 $ computer you bought you can play it fairly. Arma HAS ALWAYS been known to make computers bow down mainly because of the extensive visual distance ( turn that down in settings helps ALOT ) I've already seen a patch where they fixed some issues and helped out fps big time so far, i have high hopes as they have been doing a lot of building with this engine and enhancing it and had a lot of time for that matter.

ARMA 3 System Requirements:

OS – Windows 7 / Vista
CPU – Intel Core i5 or AMD Athlon Phenom X4 or faster
GPU – Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 or ATI Radeon HD 5770, shader Model 3 and 896 MB VRAM, or faster
RAM – 2 GB
HDD – 15 GB free space
DVD – Dual Layer compatible
DirectX® – 10

Man, I really wish I could get the alpha, just don't have the money right now though. Looks sweet, and so does that Wasteland mod.

As far as I know, yes this is the only purchase needed for the whole game. You get Alpha, Beta and full game.
