NO MORE MX VS ATV....

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Um, you think? "Hey my company is shutting down next week...maybe I oughta look for a new job..."

I really wonder how much the PS3 PSN hack had to do with the depressed DLC sales.

It is unfortunately and sad to see this end. Keep in mind this series of games is at least 13 years old.

:( for THQ and MX vs ATV.....and our economy in general....

:) for MX Sim...

Also, I'll be we see Mx vs ATV resurface somehow....Maybe not as that exact game franchise, but those guys will get something going I'd bet, even if they are low budget.

Well, seeing as they dont care about it anymore, they should definitely release the source code and other tools

Wow! I didn't see this coming... atleast not this soon. Just another extremely poor decision by THQ. Wish I could go into more detail, but I still am under and NDA. Love the series or hate it, it was a big deal and helped the MX industry. Think of how many companies got their name out there infront of a ton of people at no cost through this game?

And think of those who are without jobs right now. They have families, are good people, and put their heart and sole into their job.

Good for MXS? Maybe... maybe not. There are a lot less people to get introduced to and hooked on MX gaming to find MXS. Sure some MVA hardcore guys might merge over here, but that will only be a short spark before it dies.

Regardless, this is a sad day for me. I wish everyone who I worked with at Rainbow the best. A week and a day earlier, and I also would have had to sit in that meeting we all dreaded... the one where they tell us the doors are getting locked and we are without jobs.

Unreal.

"Sales, and thus DLC purchases, were below THQ's expectations."
No offense to them.. But honestly what do you expect? You release DLC but make it for certain regions only, then say that, pure stupidity. I am going to miss it, i have played all Mx v Atv games including Mx Unleashed (so much fun!)

Good to hear you got out when you did Chris very lucky.

What's this about FIM from Black Bean? I've seen the name but nothing more, any insight into it?

X2, i think that it was a stupid move to think that the DLC was going to work, im sory to hear that the series ahs been "stopped"
Checkers i think that you are 100% right when you say that the mx vs atv series got the mx industry more well known. All the kids could be there heros in there own lounge rooms, i think that this was the best part about the game!
