Christmas presents

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

I know I got the best gift of all... Homemade chex mix, beat that, it's delicious, and all mine!

Other than that I got a DS3 Controller, and an HDMI cable for the PS3, some clothes, an iRacing gift card for $50, and a subscription to RacerX for 18mo.

Considering all I wanted was a Bell Moto8 I guess you could say I didn't get anything I wanted, but I'll take what I can get. And the money I saved by not having to buy the $50 of iRacing stuff, and the RacerX subscription I can put towards buying the helmet on my own. :D

Glad to see most had a good Christmas, to those of you whiners, you could always become Jehovah's witnesses'.

And, with my erratic Christmas snow-schedule, I finally got my last "shipment," so to speak, of presents. Not much this time, just a book. But what a book! It's called Monkey Butt, by the infamous Rick "Super Hunky" Sieman. This was the guy who basically founded Dirt Bike Magazine, and whichever publication he wrote for would invariably prosper. When he left Dirt Bike, so I'm reading, the Magazine went into a total downward spiral as the big Advertising fatcats filled Dirt Bike with, get this, street-bike stuff! Old Hunk was the first to really go in and have the iron balls to say that a bike sucks, even if it meant that Honda, in one case, or Kawasaki or whoever, got pissed at them. Hilarious guy.

If you want to read up on the greatest tall-tales in the riding industry as well as a rather complete history of of the politics and bull that shaped riding into what it is today, I can't recommend this book enough.
