neck braces

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Bionics don't break your collarbone. There is a gap that is open over it. I'd wear one if it wasn't $700.

You could always afro-engineer something into your leatt that would prevent you from breaking the collarbone.

Good 'ole hacksaw, cut it where your collarbones are. :D

i think the leatt might increase your chance but if you land on your collarbone without one theres a good chance its gonna snap on ya. ive had some good crashes where my leatt left the little dot pattern on my neck and what not but it seems like it does nothin but protect me :| .
P.S. once you start wearing one its really hard to switch back it feels so wierd without it

I use the leatt brace and i think its amazing. I haven't really "tested" it out either luckily but its something ill never ride without. I've seen 2 really nasty crashes with juniors using the leatt brace and since i wont ride with out it. One kid was coming down this downhill section and went head first into a dirt mound thingo. Anyway the doctors were surprised that he didn't break his neck, however, he shattered his neck brace and had to be in traction for ages.

IMO any new safety gear that protects vital bones, joints is amazing for the sport.

I have a leatt and and I find it is really unnoticeable when I ride. Yomo is that crash your talkin about in a sand track? because i heard about something like that as well.
You have to be in it, to win it.

i use the leatt, my neck is short so i notice it ALOT! but when i crash it just feels as if i'm laying in bed, just someones hitting me with a bat, only not going for my head, neck, shoulders. One time i was doing a "wheelie" and i gave it a bit to much and fliped, my glove got caught on my handle bars and i was curved in a ball the wrong way, the back part of the leatt went into my back and i couldn't walk for a week, that is my only downside to the leatt
