The CPSC passed a law saying that any toy for 12 and under children with lead is now banned, but that applies to mx bikes too. So what this is causing is all 80/60/50/110/pitbikes to be banned, under this law. But, this is just a backfire on the law, it is meant for 'little kid' toys like matchbox cars.

America or not, join the petition.

EDIT: This also means that they can't be sold, period. So, if you want to get a new pitbike, your out of luck. They are marketed for 12 under, so that means they can't be sold to anyone (kind of retarded, huh?). And they voted unanimously 2-0. That's one hell of a fucking committee, huh?

All my local tracks may not be able to let kids under 12 even ride let alone race. Can you imagine if LLs had to take out the youth classes? It just wouldn't be the same...

my district already sent out letters saying there will be little bikes raceing. that would suck for those kids that have been waiting all winter for nothing.

I think it's 12. But it isn't in all districts. If the track owner doesn't want to let 12 and unders race because he doesn't want any problems, he can. But most likely you can ride. You also can't buy a bike or parts for a bike that is targeted for kids 12 or under =/
