Do you ride MTBs?

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

hahaha. Guess no one here rides.

All the real pros ride on road/off road bicycles for cross training. Majority of them actually ride Specialized too. Can I get a cookie?

Your knowledge of MTBing sure is extensive!

I've been known to go a few times a week. My roommate is try hard though. He has a 2013 stump jumper carbon elite 29er. Maybes my d660 29er look like a worthless hunk of metal. I'm pretty sure JLV shreds too, but I don't know what kind of whip he has. There's a lot of people on the forum that downhill as well.

I wish I could downhill. We just don't have the terrain here in Dallas. I'm a pretty small guy so haven't got a chance to try anything with 29" wheels. Although, they seem to be the way to go! MTBs hold their value if you take care of them. Hell my dad is on a 8 year old bike and it has some better components then mine does.

BTW, You guys don't HAVE to list your components too. Just post what you're riding.

I raced the national 4x series for a few years but then our local riding spot got plowed and most of my friends stopped riding and I ended up starting to race motocross instead. I still have my bike and get out on it now and then but not as much as I'd like. It's sat in my room next to me here at uni right now.

Sweet, mine are lowered to 100mm. I used to race on a set of Fox F100's because they were really light but at the end of the day they're an xc fork and I ended up completely destroying them in a crash. I had to buy new everything except the internals to fix them, it cost me £250. I sold them on to some guy straight after getting them fixed who also raced 4x and about a year later he broke them in exactly the same way I did

Haha that's a bummer! Fox forks/shox are sooo expensive! I stopped riding dirt bikes cause I just don't have the money to ride right now and didn't want my bike to just sit. I soon realized after I took up mtbing that it can get very expensive as well.

I ride a 7.5" 2010 Norco shore 2.
Compared to all your XC bikes, mines a tank at 43 lbs.

Last time I rode was when on my birthday when I turned 14, now I'm sixteen. I was going down some expert level trail and it was overcast and I couldn't see a hole in the ground, hit it and went over the bars. Broke my rib, screwed up my knee, and had huge deep gashes all over my side and back. Had to ride back down, and then get Hydrogen Peroxide poured on me. What a great birthday!

I have an older version of the Trek Fuel, like, a little newer then 2006. I've outgrown it and need a new bike though.
