been working since i was 16 paid my taxes don't sit at home leeching off the government i.e 'the doll' or 'doll bludgers' and recently with my new job i have been paying any where between $480-$600 tax every single week. That money comes out of my pocket every single week for different reasons... How ever i just broke my left radius (wrist) and i am unable to work their for i am unable to get paid because i am employed as casual instead of full time which means i don't get benefits. So i have to go to 'Centrelink' where they're supposed to pay me the minimum wage per week until i am able to work again... But! I am under the age of 22 there for i am unalagble* to be paid for the 6 weeks. Instead i have to say either leave my current job to get a leving certificate to show i'm unemployed which i'm not and apply for youth allowance which takes 4 weeks just to get an interview and another two before i see any income... But by that time i will be back at work...

so what the fuck am i meant to do? I have no money for food, petrol, rent, electricity etc etc.... Fucking great setup our government has good to know my $600 a week is good for nothing for me. stupid fucking useless cunts.

If you're paying that much tax, you must be bringing home about 1000 a week. Surely you have enough saved up to cover 6 weeks of bills. Perhaps you should get a credit card to help pay for things until you get your income back on track.

i earn any where between $1,400 and $2,000 a week.
I did have a fair bit saved up but spent it on my bike and racing haha.

So no, i don't have any money at the minute i was relying on the next two weeks.

Not sure if Australia does it or not but in the US you can donate plasma to your local hospital for about $40-70 a week or so. Not much but its a little cash I guess.

Hey Dj what are your weekly expenses?? Just out of curiosity.
I agree tax is bullshit, its way to high, I was paying over $400 a week. (income lil over 1k)
I have to pay $100 for rent, $30-50 food and $25 for power, gas and internet and this is per week.
It isn't a lot if you have an average job but when you don't have an income it can get pretty hard/

Scratch that it was just under $700 a fortnight and my income was around 2.2k (Fortnight is 2 weeks)
