They look so factory! First plate that comes to my mind is RC 2006. Factory KTM ran them at Assen this year to I believe, at least AC and Prado

Prado and AC have ran them a few times but Herlings, Glenn and Jonass haven't used them.

What I love about RCs is the lack of rivets. Looks even more factory

Yeah for sure looks a lot better, am guessing it was just glued on? I would guess the change was because of rocks and the glue not being strong enough. As all of the modern bikes are now using rivets.

Sanayei also used a vented front plate this year.

Extra horsepower and extra DNFs

TM's air intake is even bigger and as far as I remember, they had no DNF because of it.
We're kinda drifting away with this thread haha

Thanks guys! That was my first crack at making one. Next year I plan on doing it on a 19 front plate and painting the mesh white. I didn't really plan the sticker well either, better planning next time will make it look much better.

Here is it when I first finsihed:

Image

The mesh is a 8"x8" dry wall repair mesh pad I found at Walmart. My first try I tried gluing it like RC's plate, it didn't last long with roost.

I remember when I was 8, I was telling my dad that only people with vented plates could win, because the airflow was much better
