Re: Whats your pc?
While you ladies argue about overloading a psu I have some Vulcan vs dx12 benchmarks for those who care.
Earlier today unity released a beta with Vulcan api support so I loaded up around 200 3D trees into my game all with around 1000 polys each with a wind system blowing the leaves. The proformance in the editor is ass so I built the project with vulkan, dx12, and OpenGL all at 2560x1440. Dx12 ran at about 75-80fps, Vulcan at 70-75, and OpenGL at around 55-60. The dx12 and vulkan are still in beta so I expect them to get better with production released of unity. All tested on fx8350, gtx970 base clock, 16 gigs of ram for 15 minutes for each api. More to come soon...

Re: Whats your pc?
Anyone know how to get MXS to recognize my GTX graphics card instead of the Intel integrated graphics? The graphics settings in-game say Intel HD 530 and that's probably why I'm only getting 20-30fps.

Re: Whats your pc?
Have you set the GTX to default for MXS in the NVIDIA control panel (program settings, make sure MX Sim is in the drop-down menu. If not, add it)? Or at least set the GTX as the globally preferred GPU, that should work too I believe.clw1115934 wrote:Anyone know how to get MXS to recognize my GTX graphics card instead of the Intel integrated graphics? Re: Whats your pc?
Is the video cable plugged into the video card and not the motherboard?

Re: Whats your pc?
yes, if you plug it into the motherboard you'll be using your stock graphics that comes with the CPU, hence crap performance. Plugged into the GPU is where it livesPumaxcs wrote:Is the video cable plugged into the video card and not the motherboard?

Re: Whats your pc?
Are you sure it ever went that far? Most monitors don't go all the way to the border.
