I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

That's what my gut was pretty much telling me but I handnt seen much on a 7350k and 1080 but there's apparently a reason for that lol.

The 7350k is almost as much as an i5. I would just get an i5 at that price.

Thank you for the decent answer, are they worth the extra $30 or so?

I honestly don't know lol. Ive never used any other psu brand other than a cheap one that came with a case one time, but I can say I've never had any problems with the corsair psu's over the years.

Think I have a Corsair CX600M (semi modular) and it works great :)

IDK what the pricing is like these days but EVGA is just as good if not better than Corsair. I would just go with the cheaper of those two, obviously compare the price of models with similar specs.

went from running 30-60fps to 125 almost all the time its so weird to get used to lol. plus not having to play on high fps settings is quite nice,
original setup:
Asus ROG G752VL
6700HQ
GTX 965m 2gb
12gb ddr4
wdblue ssd

Now i added an Akitio node with a GTX 1080 Strix worth the purchase for me!
