I know everyone thinks Liquid isn't good without s1mple, but you gotta remember its nitr0 and eLiGe who show up at the majors. I think Liquid will win 16-9.
Liquid came back from being 15-7 down (due to JDM winning a 1v5), but lost in OT :(
But it was triple OT that they won it in, very good game that they both had, wanted Envyus to win it but that comeback that Liquid had was absolutely insane!

After the group stage matches i can definitely say that some teams got insanely fucked from the matches draw. However, these are the matches for friday.

Image
My predictions are:
Na'Vi over Astralis ( 2-0 )
Fnatic over Gambit ( 2-1 )
VP over North ( 2-1 )
SK over FaZe ( 2-0 )

We're gonna see a Na'vi VP grand final, I'd almost bet money on it at this point. Personally I'd like to see an Astralis vs FaZe 3 map war in the finals but that's doubtful!

Oh btw if this happens I predict Na'vi winning 2-0 over Gambit and VP winning 2-1 over FaZe. Then Na'vi 2-0 in the finals.

Couldn't ask for a better grand final. VP vs Astralis is going to be insane, both enjoy similar maps and VP always makes games close. So many story lines, especially with Astralis famous "choke" in semifinals, now transitioning into a grand final. Do they rise to the occasion or choke? Will Virtus.Plow show up tomorrow or Virtus.Throw?

I'm predicting VP banning Dust 2, and Astralis banning out Cobblestone (Both of their typical vetoes). It's hard to say what map VP picks, but I'd go with something like Mirage since they've historically been really good on it. In return, I'd say Astralis picks Overpass. VP bans Cache, Astralis bans Train, then Nuke as a decider. In this scenario, I give VP winning Mirage 16-13, Astralis winning Overpass in OT, then a 16-14 VP win on Nuke  8)

Everytime VP plays a world class team its such a sick series. Fitting for the competition we've witnessed so far.
