Weird lags Battlefield4 (Amd r7 260dx)

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Weird lags Battlefield4 (Amd r7 260dx)

Post by KAWASAKIZ »

Hello,

I started playing Battlefield 4 seriously, and i'm havimg some problems:
When i play i'm getting 18-22 fps (multiplayer). I always use low settings. It sounds quite strange,
I've seen some video on Youtube with the same gpu and similar configuration getting 40-60 fps with high details.
My config is:
Amd Fx 7500 2.1ghz quad unlocked
Ram 8gb
Hdd 1000gb @5400
R5 + R7 260DX 2gb.
Windows 10.
I tried add bf4 to the catalyst center as high performance graphics,
But i see no differences.
I already red some topics, some guys says it's a Amd problem, others drivers problems, others Win10.
What do you think guys? Someone of you have My same problem?

Thanks

Any of the new icons popping up on the right side of screen while in game? Would help diagnose problem easier.

Have you checked CPU usage while in game at all? Try unparking all your CPU cores see if that helps. I only have an AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6 GHZ. Which does not meet the recommended requirements. I can play on low or medium settings fine. However, in some chaotic situations on 64 man servers I really drop frames for a brief period.

Battlefield 4 Minimum Requirements
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHz or better
CPU Speed: Info
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-Bit (with KB971512 System Update)
Video Card: 512 MB AMD Radeon HD 3870 / NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or better
Free Disk Space: 30 GB

Battlefield 4 Recommended Requirements

CPU: AMD Six-core CPU, Intel quad-core CPU or better
CPU Speed: Info
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 8 64-Bit
Video Card: 3GB AMD Radeon HD 7870 / NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 or better
Free Disk Space: 30 GB

I have more than the minimum requirements but less than recommended. Do you know a program (not task manager) which show me in game cpu-gpu usage?
The only problem is that as i told you with that gpu i should be able to run al least medium with 40-60fps
However i never go to 64 men servers, i never go up to 48 men

CPUz and GPUz will give you all the information you crave.

R7 260 is a pretty low performance card but I would think you should be able to play quite well on low settings. Might be a good time to go through and turn off startup programs and services you don't need. One of them may be using more resources than you think.

Seems like MXS isn't using your GPU?

Some random hickups in your GPU clock here and there but nothing constant enough to cause what you are describing.

What is your GPU? I can't find any information on a 260dx? Is it a 260x?

Its a mobile Crossfire. MXS only uses one GPU so it's probably throwing some wrenches into its usage.

I'd Like it would be a 260x.... But it isn't. It's a gpu for laptops not much diffused.
Today i updated my drivers and installed radeon crimson instead of catalyst center.
After optimizing bf4, online i was getting 26-30fps! In mxsim i was getting 124-125 always, instead before i was playing
between 90-111. I even tryed something Like VSync but for Amd (an option in crimson software) and i was locked to 58-59 but the game was really fluid! 8)
Still want to get 8-12 fps more on battlefield

Uh yea, you are just mistaken about someone else getting playable framerates on that card on high. That card is below the performance of a nvivia 840m so there is just no way.
