He wouldn't have won, top 5 maybe.

If he would have been on KTM and they built him up a bigger bore 250 (is a 300 legal? probably not right?) he might have done something but considering the track type that Ironman is and how used to/comfortable he would be on a two stroke is much lower than a four stroke there is no way he would have won. The triple step up alone he would lose a good second or so a lap.

That jump is super doable on a 250, but the bike would definitely be a huge disadvantage (especially a Suzuki!). Obviously you know that if you've been riding a factory 450 for 3 years.

It sucks he can't just race it and let the AMA DQ him.

You mean Forkner? It's pretty common to scrub a landing when you come up short so you don't bounce.

I wasn't going to hop on the Forkner bandwagon before the season started but I'm really impressed with his race sense, speed, consistency, and mentality. It's also cool to see that he absolutely rips on a BMX bike, too (throws backflips and shit). I'm officially a big fan of him, I've just seen a lot of rookies come in blazing hot and not continue that form throughout the year and into the following seasons, so it's cool to see him doing so well. He reminds me a LOT of a young RV.
