2017 Snocross Discussion

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

I decided to create this thread to talk about snocross racing etc. For those who doesn't know what is snocross, watch this and you should be fine.

The 2017 Snocross season is kicking off this weekend in Duluth - MN for the 25th Annual Amsoil Snocross Championship. How to watch the races?

- this link will give you access to the Livestream starting at 1:30PM this Friday with qualifying races and main events later in the night. Amsoil Dominator (10 000$ race) later in the night as well. There will also be races Saturday and Sunday.
- The races will also be on CBS Sports.

The classes you don't want to miss :
- Sport
- Pro Lites
- Pro Open

Hope to get some feedback from you guys. Id like to know if a lot of people knew about this sport. And am i the only Snocross racer ?

I am taking the plane tomorrow morning to go there since i didn't want to sit in the truck for 30 hours  Our team just arrived there. I've been practicing since October 27th (We were lucky to have snow in here in Canada at this time since there wasn't in United States) and im more than ready :)

I will be racing Jr. 14-15 and 16-17 friday. Sport Lite 2 and Sport 2 saturday.

Its kind of weird but you are able to race the class that is after your "age class". Im 15 (16 in a week) so i am able to race the 16-17 class since my "age class" is 14-15. But i won't be able to race the 14-15 class after this season and its my last year racing juniors.

He is saying that since he is 15 and starting the season off as a 15 year old he still is aloud to race the 14-15 class but since he is turning 16 he is also aloud to race the 16-17 class. It is a little complicated but you kind of have to understand how they do stuff with snowmobiles, personally I think they should just do what motocross does and do the A, B, and C classes but they want to be different sadly. Best of luck to you William!

They could do that, but the ''age' classes are not on the experience you got if you know what i mean. And thank you! They are sending me back there in January for RD3 so thats really good news for me, i hope i won't threw away the podium like i did

I ride a 2017 Skidoo MXZ 600rs. In the 14-15 class and 16-17 we got a ''throttle block'', we only get to use 50% of the power, but with really good clutch setups it can be as fast as a snowmobile that has no throttle block.

In younger classes (like 8-10 and 10-13) they have to limit the RPM to example 5500 instead of 8500.
