Personally I'd like to see a 15 round SX season going from January-May with a few breaks and a 10 round national series from June-October. No off season events, more breaks in between races, more time for riders to test and more importantly have time to recover. Yes, races every weekend is better for the average fan sitting on their couch watching in an air conditioned living room, but the weekends off are critical for the teams and riders to make it to each round healthy. In the end, you can still have good racing without weekends off but you're going to see riders at 70-80% instead of being at their best when it counts.
YES THAT!! I've been preaching this for years, I never thought I'd meet someone who felt the same. I feel like that's why certain riders (RV, RD) retire so young. They're tired of the schedule that have to run. It's hard as hell on athletes that have a hard enough sport ahead of them.
