I finally did get it to work. I got patient enough to wait 5 minutes and it came up with a timeout screen that said "login failure couldn't connect to server". From there I was able to get into the menu and start playing. Typical rush job to make deadlines. Hope they do get to the few bugs I've seen already. I'm also a firm believer that if you get hit on the top of your head by another dirt bike it shouldn't just be a slight scraping sound followed by a minor disturbance in your trajectory. I had already suspended my disbelief for MXGP 3. I play this game mostly for the beauty of it...mostly. It is beautiful.

I agree with everything you said. The visuals are fantastic. From what I remember of MXGP 3, they did a fair job pushing patches pretty frequently. Getting landed on and being landed definitely needs a rework, and the tough blocks in online have to get fixed. I got smacked in the face with one that flew from the other side of the stadium.

The login was seamless this morning. Second day of release it would be expected to be laggy.

Did you stick with the stock controller layout?
My god I have a hard time leaning, shifting, braking with the stock set up all at once.

Yea but some other arcade games have areas where you can make up time. But this game's physics engine looks sooo limited that it seems extremely easy.

You'd be suprised how hard it is to actually go that speed

I went and played all of Milestone’s MX games Kris. They have improved so much with handeling it’s unbelievable. While I still enjoy all of them mxgp is so hard to play after playing recent games such as MXGP3 or Supercross

I think its the same as always from Milestone, it feels alot different than it looks. Their animations are so stiff, canned, and limited but the impact they have is alot bigger than it shows. Granted, still super arcadey and that times it chooses a fall of is necessary and isn't is weird sometimes I'm still really enjoying myself.

Last night I had time to test track editor and really like it but I can't find a good realistic scaling. Anyone have any recommendations there? The single small gap isn't enough and the medium I think is too much.
