How To Embed Videos

People have explained how to before but the explanations are buried in topics. I'd thought I would make a topic about it so it's easier to find.

- If you have a video on Youtube that you want to embed, take the embed code (I'll use this video by Mittocs for the example):

- Out of the embed code, all you need is the link, so delete everything before and everything after the first link in the embed, so you will delete what is in red:

- Now highlight what's left after the deleting and click the Flash button towards the top of the post box. You will have something that looks like this:

- Now you have to enter what resolution you want the video to be, take a look at the original embed code and you should find the width and height, for this video it is 640 by 505. Put these numbers after the '=' with a comma separating them, NO SPACES:
- You should now have a working video:
- For Vimeo, follow the same steps as for Youtube, here is what you should delete from the embed code (Again, red is what you should delete):
