He only refuse last year (and we dont even know if he really refuse it ho heal his knee. Here is the translation of the video he post in french after he saw the selection.

They are probably thinking that if he wont go over there and help them why should they offer him the ride. Maybe his excuse was probably piss poor when he didn't want to ride so they don't care for him. Maybe if he offers to ride next year in Assen and they will think about it more.

France have always been sending 2 good riders and 1 one who could flop or do good, and that is the way they have won for years and probably still more to come.
