If you think if the oxygen and hydrogen atoms as solar systems, then think of all the empty space between the nucleus and electrons as dry. Water is mostly empty space, like your head. In conclusion, water really isn't that wet.

Wet is an adjective we use in English to define something that normally does not have a liquid, has a liquid.

My shoes are wet. Normally shoes dont have liquid so therefore when they do, they are wet.

Water is not wet because it can be a liquid under certain conditions.

Again, key part is that it is an adjective to describe something that gained a liquid, doesnt even have to be water it can be any liquid.

Soaked and wet are also very similar in use.

Can you make water wet?

Are we talking distilled water, deionized water, purified water, heavy water, holy water, bong water or just ball sack water?

However, everything can be described as wet or dry. So you are saying water is dry, and it is not wet?

Are you really getting wet? My question to you is whether the space between the water molecules is wet or not? Is it wetter than the space between aluminum molecules? Of course not. There is no water in that space so it is not wet.

I'm not concerned about on a molecular level. If im out walking and i see a lake, im not gonna look at it and say " wow thats dry"
