I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

So how about all that crap like catholic church having the stance that condoms don't help in preventing aids, then spouting that BS in the most aids ridden countries and causing more and more deaths and infections? Or those religious nuts going about the world is 6000 years old and pushing creationism like it's a viable alternative to evolution theory when it's utter BS with no scientific proof whatsoever?
Or the completely fucked up moral codes and contradictions every religious text is full of, people taking them seriously, and then have to live a life of guilt just because of natural urges? Sex is so so sinful and you'll burn in hell EXCEPT when married? How convenient.
Or modern islam's way of fucking up pretty much everything?
Or the mutilation of girl babies' genitals like in some African countries?

Seriously, religion is a cancer of humanity and the sooner we get rid of it, the better off we'll all be.

Oh hey btw, there isn't really any "origin of life" theory in science. A few theories/ideas about how life could have started on Earth, yes, but for instance the Big Bang theory only aims to explain what happened at the beginning of the universe, it has nothing to do about how the universe actually came to be (before the big bang. Was it always there, was it created by nothing/something/chance etc.). :)
Spoken like someone who knows nothing about the topic he is preaching about. Although, I do agree that religion is the problem, but thats another conversation.

I agree with shadow about religion being the problem. It has started so much BS worldwide. I mean yeah, of course there's going to be religion no matter what, It has wormed its way into peoples lives. But it has turned humanity into what it is today. I'm not going to bash on any individuals for being religious, because I don't judge people based on their view's, but once someone tries shoving something down my throat, I find it very disrespectful and ignorant. Hell, some of my best friends are religious through and through, but they don't try to force me into practicing religion. Even at the dinner table, their parent's are polite enough to excuse themselves when they pray. Same goes for my grandparent's. It also depends on where you grew up, and how you were brought up. Both of my parent's used to believe there was a god, but never went to church or practiced any kind of religious activity. I was never talked to about religion as a child, and one day when I was about 10, I had a good think and decided that I would not believe in a god. Not only was it my choice to not believe in a god, but I't was also my choice to not be prejudice when It came to religion. That's how everyone should be. IMO parents should not be allowed the take their children to church until they are of proper age to make their own decisions. That would be the right thing to in theory.

To add to that, why do we have belly button's? Because of an umbilical chord. Is it a coincidence that monkeys also have umbilical chords? I think not.

This thread isn't very funny, I haven't understood any of the jokes on the last 2 pages.

A beluga whale has a penis, are we related to whales as well? An insect has a brain, what about those? Dogs nurse their young, and as ugly as some women are, I am pretty sure they aren't related in the slightest.

Your ignorant, Tanner. Just drop it.

This is not the place for discussionsof this nature. Go to a forum that's designed for topics like this if you want to talk about it. The funny videos and pictures thread is not the place.

Heh, I admit what I wrote is sort of tongue-in-cheek, but are you denying that there are people out there who actually believe the earth to be less than 10 000 years old and the proof they have is "It reads in the bible!" or that for example some sects of christianity consider sex outside marriage to be a sin? :D

By no means am I ranting about the moderately religious people, if there was any chance of taking it like that.

Here's your funny.

I'm glad you brought that up, Shadow. Just let me say that I'm not Catholic or one of those crazy religious nuts, and I feel like those people earn religion a bad rep.

No, those people exist, and I have no problem with them. The Bible has a shitload of manuscripts confirming its reliability. I have no problem with a person who believes the Bible as truth.
Shadow wrote:or that for example some sects of christianity consider sex outside marriage to be a sin? :D
According to the Bible it is a sin, but the Bible also says to look at another woman and lust for her is a sin. That means porn or just simply lusting after a woman that is pretty.

My point is this, I don't care. The debates are stupid and no one is going change minds by arguing science vs religion on an mx forum (or any forum for that matter). I love this place because most of the time we all share the common ground that moto is boss and we love it. Lets leave the politics out and have fun. This same debate ruined the MvA forum in its last year, and it got so nasty. I don't want that to happen here.

We already have to put up with all of DJ's memes.
