Looks sick shadow ! maybe a more realistic looking tire?
Re: 3d animation/renders
I love how in cad things are mathematical, like sketches, but I wish they could have the rendering easier for people like me to understand.
Re: 3d animation/renders
Yea, SolidWorks has the best sketching tools ever. Unfortunately it was the first CAD/3d program I learned and I have been missing them ever since. Just all the constraints that you can use to have arcs be tangent to each other or concentric or whatever are so helpful. Autodesk needs to get that sorted out, their drawing tools are a mess and I find myself redoing stuff over and over until I get what I want and then redoing it some more when a client wants to make a change.
You know the other thing that has always bothered me? Why in the hell are mouse/keyboard shortcuts for rotating and stuff not standardized? Since I have got used to Autodesks combinations I would have a hell of a time trying to use SolidWorks again. Worse even is that Revit (the software I use all day at work) had different combinations than 3ds Max even though they are made by the same company!!!!!! After using Max all weekend I end up using a bunch of Max shortcuts in Revit on Tuesday morning hahaha.

You know they are trying to standardize them but the reason they arnt is because they are actually not from the same company. Autodesk now makes them all but up until recently it has been other companies which have now been bought out by autodesk.

That's the plan, both the rim and tire still need major work.vortexracingleader wrote:Looks sick shadow ! maybe a more realistic looking tire?
I was having a hard time yesterday with the small cuts on that tire but I may have figured that out now. The rim hub and spokes need to be moved closer to the outside edge and the hub thickness needs to be lessened. Thinking of changing the rim diameter down one inch also.
Definitely, the parameter based sketching and the features rollback ability are bloody awesome.attacker5 wrote:I love how in cad things are mathematical, like sketches, but I wish they could have the rendering easier for people like me to understand.

Might as well spam this thread.

Little by little.
Not happy with the hood just yet. Looks too flat compared to the real one and missing a bunch of fillets. Front grille and headlights positioning is all wonky too.
