2013 pheonix Am qualifying
It blows my mind how the C class is the hardest class to qualify for in the am's. It's like the C class is the open, the b class is the C class and the Open is the B class. This is all information taken from the top 40 lap times in each class.

Yeah it's rather stupid atm. I gave a good idea in another topic. IMO there should be a cut off lets say 1:00 or something in there. All of those riders in that cut off have two options either be allowed to move up & race where you should be or should be defaulted into the open class. ATM C class is far from being amateurs & so on.bradley272 wrote:It blows my mind how the C class is the hardest class to qualify for in the am's. So I have noticed. The C class has more 57 second times than any other class. I wish I wouldn't have hopped in the C class being its the hardest to qualify for

You have to remember that this is a fresh system. Give it some time, they will get it sorted out. Some smart folks behind the scenes at race factory.

I understand that, and intelligence wasn't in question. Just amazes me what people do to abuse the system and.it just gives the officials more to sort out. When they could be putting their efforts into more important areas. This community has more sand baggers than my local race scene hahaha.barrington314 wrote:You have to remember that this is a fresh system. Give it some time, they will get it sorted out. lap times dont mean anything. you can run the fastest qualifying time but if you ride like a idiot and cant put together a whole main event then those people are in the right class

I understand where you are coming from. But if you can put out some pro equivalent fast lap times. There is no way you can be a C rider. A B rider, understandable. But your average C rider shouldn't in my opinion, have the skill set to put out blazing fast times. 57 seconds to 1.00 fast lap times takes skill, not luck. And that skill is not the skill of a C rider. Wether you can pull out that time 1 time in a race or 15. It takes a skill set of an experienced racer to put those times out.

They mean alot when your trying to get into an event. and they do mean alot when it comes to riding ability. if a rider runs a 55 sec lap time, to me that means they have the ability to ride like an A class rider, now just because they slow down and are a little bit more consistant, or wreck in the race (wich is really hard not to do in AM races the way people ride.) then does that make them a C class rider? to be 100% honest, after looking at some of the C class riders results in the past, i dont think half of the guys who raced the main last week should be in C class. Unfortanatly im not the one who makes theise calls. and its going to take some time for RF to put it together anyways. so all us slow guys can do is be patient, and wait to see were everything ends up.Wilson156 wrote:lap times dont mean anything. you can run the fastest qualifying time but if you ride like a idiot and cant put together a whole main event then those people are in the right class

Here are the facts as I have looked at all classes qualifying times. Now remember all C riders are on 250's. The top 26 C riders can qualify for the Open Night Program. The top 20 C riders can easily qualify for the B night program. And an astonishing 10 C Riders can qualify for the Pro West Lites Night Program right now. I'm sorry but these guys aren't C riders. No matter how much they fall.
Re: 2013 pheonix Am qualifying
I rode C class, not open because I heard it will be looked at more for advancement. Believe me I don't want to be in C class, and you can't really "abuse" the system considering we don't choose our license.bradley272 wrote:Here are the facts as I have looked at all classes qualifying times. I'm pretty sure that open class is the class that will e looked at more because its 1 step down from pro and any class can race it. That's how you get into pro.ryanmx25 wrote:I rode C class, not open because I heard it will be looked at more for advancement. Re: 2013 pheonix Am qualifying
This makes more sense. What does spanking a bunch of virtual spode C riders prove? It's unfair to the true C rider. The real C riders will only get to race half of the race due to the fact that the top 10 should be in the pro class and will be lapping them like they are standing still all race. Imo. But then again. Not one true C rider will make it to the main. Probably not even make it to the night program.kawy949 wrote:I'm pretty sure that open class is the class that will e looked at more because its 1 step down from pro and any class can race it.
