Tbh having the track released one-two hours before the race wouldn't be a bad idea in my book.
If you are going to a real race you usually only get about that amount of time on the track before the race.
Would benefit the people who are really good and comfortable on the bike and can learn the track and the flow quickly instead of having some people putting in hours and hours and hours perfecting their laps by the time of the race.
The problem is that some of us have a life besides mxs. In my case, for example, if the track isn't out today, I won't be able to qualify for EMF, as I only get home about half an hour before the actual race.
Dude I'm probably 15 years older than the average guy in here so don't lecture me about "having a life" please.
Having a limited qualifying time is alot better for us people with less time since we don't have to sit 4 hours for 3 days straight to be competitive with the people that have more time, still in school etc.
Alot better to just take one solid evening out of your week and play just one hour earlier.

Again, pay me more than my current job and I'll gladly quit and focus solely on these tracks and make sure they are out in a timely fashion. Otherwise, we do the best we can with the cards we're dealt. My family and job are more important than you getting the track.
I don't get why people are bitching about how long it takes for the tracks to be ready like you said you have a full time job and shit but some people think that since you create the tracks that is supposed to be your number 1 thing to do but it shouldn't be remember people at the end of the day it is just a video game.
Your 15 you wouldnt know what a full time job is. Yeah I get that it just took longer than usual was just wondering if anything happened to checkerz that's all
Why are you looking at this?

Yea, that's the only reason I don't like it when they release the tracks a little later.

I wasn't trying to 'lecture' anyone or something, sorry if that sounded like that. The problem with that type of qualifying for rF is that it would force EMF to change its schedule. Yea I know tracks are made for rF and such, but European people like me who can't stay up all night to make a race actually enjoy it. With qualifying like this, you actually have time. You just get a lot more flexibility, you can just hop in a server whenever you are able to and just run a lap. You never have to 'sit 4 hours for 3 days straight'. If you do have to, you probably wouldn't qualify with limited qualifying either.

I know it wouldn't work with the way things are run right now, just pointed out I liked the idea.
Let's say I'm one of those who might fight for the last qualifying position. If the people I fight for the spot with can run 3+ hour for 3 days they'll undoubtedly have the track dialed in better than me if I can only do 2 hours for one day assuming our skill is about the same.

I have nothing against the current system at all. Just thought it would be a cool format for a race and would be interesting to see if the results will be the same :)

Considering EMF didn't even take the time to ask about using the tracks, offer to help in anyways, or even ask if we were making the tracks for that matter this season; I could give 2 shits about whether they have a track for racing and/or qualifying.

No, nothing happened to me. As I said before, the track terrain was done less than 48 hours after the track map was released. The problem is, the track map wasn't released until Saturday morning. Normally we are building these tracks weeks in advance to ensure they are ready for on time releases. On top of that, Daytona is by far the hardest track of the year to build. And because of that being pushed back, Wheels who normally runs the packaging scripts and creates teh multiple versions and what not left for his trip before it was ready, so we're working with other's schedules and learning a new process. This process isn't as simple as .saf'ing a track like normal because the way we have to update and reference the sx2016 folder and keep that consistent along with creating multiple versions for all the guys with less than stellar PC performance.

Deal with it...or don't. My life won't change either way.

Seriously guys, calm it, your lucky to be getting these tracks completely free in the first place, if checkerz is Busy, and i imagine he is, you need to have patience. Waiting an extra day or to for a track wont fucking kill you, and i know as much as you all want to shred it, you need to start gaining patience and stop nagging, its not going to speed up the fucking process, give the track builders a break and let them do there tracks, weather its today or next fucking year, you will still get the track.

Like someone said above, I like the idea of limited qualifying, especially being an older, busier man. It gets tough trying to compete with the 15 year old homeschooled week in and week out.
