2017 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur)
Re: 2017 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur)
Love the new scaling and everything about this years series. Although i hate the ams in pros.. Good works on the tracks and hosting! A1 i didn't race how i felt i was capable of, but last night I felt very comfortable and I felt i was where i needed to be. Good racing everyone

I've seen you bring this up a couple of times now, I mean they could be more strict as what skill level qualifies someone for pro, but do you really want to get yourself bumped down?MOTOZ293 wrote:Love the new scaling and everything about this years series. If they are fast enough to qualify into the night show they aren't ams. It doesn't make them smart either though.

Lol you do realize i have a pro license, top 10 pro, and a top 10 pro qualifier. I got 6th last night and you cant even make an ams main.. you may not want to bring this up again bc youll get bumped down to novice.... ggwp broEzra wrote:I've seen you bring this up a couple of times now, I mean they could be more strict as what skill level qualifies someone for pro, but do you really want to get yourself bumped down?MOTOZ293 wrote:Love the new scaling and everything about this years series. The top 15 ams in the 250 class at A1 had times that would have put them in the top 40 for pro night. Quali time alone doesn't make a pro.Ddavis wrote:If they are fast enough to qualify into the night show they aren't ams. It doesn't make them smart either though.
If you're slow at quali it can prevent you racing pro tho #me
It's hard to even use this as a quantifier for who should race pro. The guys with super speed and no awareness certainly shouldn't be racing pro, but they also make it hell for some slower ams to qualify and race against them since they're at such a higher skill level. We can bitch all we want about who should or shouldn't be pro, but you're never going to have a simple rule that accurately places everyone. rF does a decent job with it, you can't really ask for too much more where this rule is concerned.Racers52 wrote: Awareness+Speed=Pro

I do realize I should probably be in novice, frankly i asked why i wasn't eligible, but i scored some ams points outdoors, shocker i know, so that was a no go. Frankly for having a UID > 23500, I'm not too worried that I'm not winning any races, or making mains.MOTOZ293 wrote: Lol you do realize i have a pro license, top 10 pro, and a top 10 pro qualifier. But for the fun part, if we look at the last full season you raced in, 2016 outdoors, im not too sure your results back up your claim to be a "top ten pro."

I'll stay out of it from here, but I can imagine a handful of people reading this would love to see you thrown out of the pro class, or at least have your pro license revoked.
