You're thinking of "bombshelter". That server has DDOS mitigation but it doesn't get along well with the game. The last snapshot has some changes to work better with it, but since the snapshot has some unrelated problems with crashing we can't require it yet. I expect to be fairly DDOS proof soon. (At least on bombshelter.)

"thedumps" has an inbound link that can handle a lot of bandwidth but the host will still null route it if it's under a big enough attack.

So this means rF doesn't have to close down?

iam still pretty knew first off sucks rf got hacked they run some legit stuff. 2nd as noob as it is I have read page 18 through 31 and all I can see is that rf got hacked. sorry to hear that lame stuff people never stop amazing with their lack of disrespect. so just confirming race is canceled ?

The series is cancelled and as of now everything rF is put on hold/not continuing. rF didn't get "hacked" exactly, their site and all of that is fine (really nothing actually touched rF since the server being used was jlv's). The server for the race had a distributed denial of service attack that made it unusable to race in.

If this is really the end of rF, it was a hell of a ride guys. Had a ton of fun in all the races even if I didn't race much the last few seasons. Glad I was able to see and participate in the racing before rF started when it was just JLV for SX and Sween doing small series along with EMF, and all the way through until now. Thanks for all the hard work all these years rF crew!
