Re: MXSoN 2011 Discussion Thread
Hm....May be able to swing Saturday nights but we'll see....
Re: MXSoN 2011 Discussion Thread
I understand your reason, but I think it's better to not run it than just run it with American teams.
We also can make a poll and try to find the best date we can have. Maybe after the real life season. Like in half october or something. So we can arrange it in the weekend.
The time is fine for me. Last year you did it european time, now back US time. It are only 2night's we need to stay out of bed
. But I can't stay out of bed till 4 o'clock to go to school the next day. And I think I'm not the only European.
It's not an attack towards you tho. You're a great host, but with a to big social life
.
And maybe we can split the qualifications up? And Australazian qualifier with a local host. A European qualifier with a local host (maybe me) and an American qualifier. And than race the big race at the same time. In that way we only have to skip 1night of sleep instead of 2.

Re: MXSoN 2011 Discussion Thread
I have been running races for about 3 years now...time zone issues are nothing new in MXS....I'm not an idiot, and I understand how time zones work... If your race is at 3:00am and you want to race it (as it's one of the sickest MXS races of the year), and get your ass to bed at 8:45 pm, and wake up at 2:45am and race. That's 6 hours of sleep, which is plenty, I do it every night and am wide awake all day. If you NEED 8 hours of sleep go to bed at 6:45pm...or take a nap in the day....nobody said it was smart to stay up the whole night. Get your sleep wake up earlier than normal, race, eat breakfast, and then head to wherever you need to go. I'll bet you are MORE productive at work/school if you do that. Waking up at 3:00am one morning should not disrupt a healthy person's sleep/energy levels very much....That's my conclusion. Again, I can see if I can make it a Saturday, but chances are it won't be any easier, as I would much rather wake up early as fuck during the week when I have to get up early anyway, than wake up early as fuck on the weekend, when otherwise I could sleep in or do whatever...I think I would be more thankful that it was during a time, like the middle of the night, where I can race it, and go about my day like normal, than to have it fall while I'm actually in school or work and have no chance, or while I have other plans, such as on the weekends...scheeve3 wrote:I understand your reason, but I think it's better to not run it than just run it with American teams.

Do you plan to do anything on how each country releases their gear or anything?
