MXS: Out of the loop! Seattle

Post by Ddavis »

Out of the Loop!
I was out of town this Thursday night, and it appears I have missed out on an exciting night of racing. By the stats sheet on RaceFactory's website, Tysen came from a 6th place start to pass early race leader and defending champion Shack on lap 10, and would go on to take a 10 second victory. Even though I'm out of the loop this week, I still could have predicted that Tysen would take the victory. Shack finished a solid 2nd, and is definitely going to challenge Jones for 3rd in the standings. Jeremy looked to have struggled to a 4th place finish tonight. Motorsport Honda female rider Brina failed to qualify for the main event, dropping to a distant 5th in the standings. It will be hard to gain any points on the top 4 unless there's a DNS involved, considering the top 4 are all fighting for last ditch effort victories over Tysen. Speaking of Tysen, he's 28 points ahead of Jeremy. If Jeremy wins

Questions answered
Will Tysen get back on top in Seattle and extend his points lead?
Tysen took a thrilling main event win and extended his points lead!
Jeremy is on a roll right now! Can he get a three peat?
No he didn't, he finished 4th, respectively.
Jones has led main events, but hasn't gotten a win, will he get that long awaited win in Seattle?
No, and knowing Jones he probably isn't happy with a 7th place finish.
Brina is now 15 points behind Shack, will she gain points on him?
She lost a crapload of points, with Shack finishing 2nd and Brina watching from the bleachers.
Markham has gone 10-9-8-8 in the past 4 races, can he continue this streak and finish in the top 7?
Markham's momentum was looking strong with a heat race win, but didn't continue his momentum in the main event with a 14th place finish.
Will Pinned continue to finish in the top 5?
Pinned came from behind to finish 9th place.
Jaden Yuki has been fast, can he podium?
Jaden Yuki's speed is unquestionable, but he's a rookie and made mistakes which lead to him not qualifying for the main event.
Will any of the East lites racers make an impact on the field?
Hell yeah! 10 of the 19 riders on the gate were East coast riders, and East points leader finished 5th in the main. Even more impressive is T.Crain on the 125, finishing 6th and running 2nd for a handful of laps.

Will Jeremy stop Tysen from clinching the championship!?
Will there be any controversy or drama from the championship contenders throughout the week/night show?
Jones wants a win, can he get it done?
Taylor Barry finally got some well deserved momentum, can he finish on the box again?

Out of the loop!
Okay, I'm really out of the loop on the West coast racing. I'm sure everybody is, with the 10 week break. Not really a surprise here, Mikey was the fastest in the main event, what's surprising was his margin of victory. Unless I'm blind, I have it written down as a 37 SECOND VICTORY. We all know Mikey is one of the fastest lites riders on the game, period, but normally throws it away. If Mikey races SLC and Vegas, it may be a yawner. Stocksy didn't race, but newly picked up PanicRev racer Kaio Miranda did, and finished 6th, losing 10 points to Mikey. If Mikey is unable to race the rest of the series, he may be able to take control of the championship. Recently crowned Fjeldberg let early, but ended up 5th place. Carson had some good rides before the break, and some bad ones! He rebounds from those bad races with a podium in SLC. Joe Sawler, from MX Sim Pits, came from 13th to 3rd (Just like Taylor in the big bikes), and impressed many while doing so. J|3, or James, known for his huge holeshots, came from behind to finish in the top 10. Twitch was up front early, but dropped to 14th. If he can put it together we can see a good finish from him. Jlv made the main on his 125, but didn't get the best result in 17th. PanicRev rider Kyle Watts qualified for his first night show, and main event tonight, but finished 16th in the main, with the 11th fastest lap time.

Questions Answered
Is Mikey going to race? And if so, can he get his first win since Oakland?
Yes and Yes, convincingly.
Is Stocksy going to race? And if so, can he get his first win since Phoenix?
No and No, unfortunately.
PanicRev picked up Kaio Miranda to win the championship, will he get a win?
No, but finished a respectable 6th.
Adam Barry closed off the West coast with a win, will he pick up where he left off?
Adam Barry didn't make the main event.
Fjeldberg has been impressive in the 450 class on a 250f, can he get his first win on the final stretch of racing?
With a good start, he finished in the top 5.
Who will impress the most in Seattle?
I want to say Mikey for his dominating consistency, but I'll go ahead and say Joe Sawler did!

SLC Questions
With a 30 point lead, Mikey is in a good spot to just race and win the championship and be done with the series, but yet again it's a big enough points lead to miss SLC and still win it in Vegas, will we see Mikey race next week?
Kaio Miranda is now 2nd in the standings with Stocksy's absence, can he take advantage of a DNS by Mikey?
Fjeldberg is 4th in points, and 26 points behind Stocksy, can he make a run at 3rd in the series?
Carson has a breath of fresh air with the break, will he win SLC?
DeRoco had some good rides during the break on his 350, can he podium SLC?
Joe came from behind for 3rd, with a good start can he do more?
Wheels sits 4 points behind 10th in the series, will he be in the top 10 (or even higher), come Vegas?
2 points separate Fjeldberg, Dudu, and Carson. Who will be 4th in points after next week?

No idea what happened at the end of the first paragraph. If Jeremy wins, and Tysen is 2nd, he'll come into Vegas 25 points ahead. Technically all he'll have to do is make the main and he'll get the title. (If he doesn't, and Jeremy wins, it will be tied. Both will have 6 wins, with the tie breaker going to Jeremy)

cool to see this stuff i had my best main of the year last night fought from 16th on lap 6th to 6th place but getting 7th after a small penalty. i made A1 after that i lost my PC for the rest of west so to come back and almost make my goal of a top 5 im stoked. I feel like im close enough to podium for sure and i think SLC is gonna be my time. My set up is on and as long as im on its on lol like donkey kong. i think i can top the rest of west and look out nationals ive got a few tricks in my outdoor set up.
