SACRAMENTO, CA- The 2013 National Numbers are now set in stone as made official by Race Factory Gaming and the promoters of the 2012 MotoOption Supercross Series presented by Vurbmoto and 2012 Motosport.com Nationals Series presented by One Industries.
The layout of the new numbering system is as follows: All points scored from every main event in the Supercross and Supercross Lites class (excluding the East/West shootout) and every Moto in the Motocross and Motocross Lites class were counted towards a National Number. If you were to finish in the top 10 in total points at the end of the season you would earn the right to run a career number. Anyone outside of the top 10 was given a two digit number (that weren’t already chosen as career numbers) up to and including the number 99. Anyone who did not earn a National Number has the choice to run any three digit number they wish.
Riders who already had claimed a National Number from 2011 were: Austin Jones (2), Bryan Haskell (7), David Diehl (10), Mark Zeidler (25), Hector Assuncao (30), Taylor Barry (34), Jeremy Shipley (39), Daniel Markham (55), and Nathan Zaworski (68).
There were two riders from 2012 that earned the right to run a single digit number by way of winning a championship. Tysen Fresquez elected to run a two digit number and picked 21. Mike Owen however chose to select the number 9.
New riders who earned the right to select a career number by virtue of results from 2012 are: Tyler Crain (16), Robert Nash (19), Eduardo Simoes (20), and Zach Dupuis (66) as well as Owen and Fresquez as mentioned above.
National Numbers are used to better point out who were the better riders from the previous year easing the way viewers get to watch the races and better showcasing a ranking system.
Race Factory requests that all riders run their new numbers for the upcoming EVS Supercross Open.

Great to see the officiel 2013 number now, we will have time to skin gears and bikes !
I think that's a good system, everyone have to ride his number, we gonna see less people with same numbers...
63 isn't a good number for me but anyway i will try to shine this number next year.
Thanks all rF Crew, you do a very good job !!!

Surprised I still made top 10 in final points! Don't think I'm going to change from 68, unless I somehow win a title and 6 is still open.
