It's because when you open the .mxdemo, you do so with MX Simulator. You don't open the demo file, you upload it to a site like mediafire and send the link to your file, in a pm, to whoever is reqesting it. in this case sweendoggy.

really? well age doesn't really matter, but I would figure you are more computer savy, or maybe you are just truly confused, either way, i'm 21 going on 22, and studying to become a mechanical engineer, that being said, I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to have a basic to advanced knowledge of computers or at least some serious logic to figure things out on your own, not to brag but I pretty much figured out how to do most things i need to know for this game (and computers) without ever asking someone how to do it, (reading the forum and using logic, plus of course trial and error) and because I figured it out on my own, i learned and understand it way more...

OK so lets go over this one more time

1 - So you go to New Race and set it up, with record demo set to yes....
2 - when you finish your race and the results are in the top left corner, the game has recorded your demo
3 - next you can go to playback, and make sure it says playback only at the bottom, and select "default"
4 - if it is the race you just did, then "default" is your demo you want
5 - Exit the game, and go to your personal folder
6 - Find the demos folder and open it
7 - In this folder you will find "default.mxdemo"
8 - right click on it, and rename it to whatever you want besides default
9 - now your demo is "saved" and if you record a new one, it will be called default and OVERWRITE a mxdemo file in that folder that is named default
10 - go to mediafire.com
11 - set up account (follow instructions)
12 - upload your demo, whatever you named it
13 - after it uploads, click the share icon next to the file on the mediafire website and go to sharelink and copy it
14 - send a private message to markm32 and past the "sharelink" url into the screen, highlight it, and click URL
15 - you have now sent in a demo to markm32

If you can not do this after these somewhat sarcastic, yet very clear and "followable" directions, then I think you need to enroll in that program, that allows you to ride the short bus to school...sorry

ps please learn to do things on your own or you will NEVER get ANYWHERE in life, seriously

oh and also, don't be mad at us on the forum cause we are actually really nice, and one day you will be one of us haha

haha, oh and just thought about it, rgaede and legend...

when I double click a demo, it automatically opens it with mxs? Maybe its vista, or maybe you dont have the full game? hmmm idk wierd

(I never set mxs to be the default program for the mxdemo files either)

...slowly backs out of the room....

Just create a new folder in your C:\owner\appdata\local folder and call it MX Simulator

I would also recommend reading this...
