2014 Team Policy for rF

Because of the ridiculous amounts of PM's and Emails, I figured I should re-post this.

Please be sure to read CAREFULLY.

All new teams will now be required to sign up with a custom name. Legitamate teams that participate in rF races will be approached by rF about company sponsorship, and sponsors will be managed directly by rF, not by teams. This means teams will only be sponsored by companies that actually support rF and MXS. Team skins can still contain other brands, but team names and official sponsors will be rF Sponsors only. Current teams will be sorted/renamed after Nationals, and all new teams will abide by these rules starting now.

This is an effort to be more fair to our actual supporters, and give them the exposure they derseve, and discourage people from bugging the industry to run logos and names. This ensures that rF and MXS top sponsors get top teams, exposure, and return on their investment into rF and MXS. Current teams running rF sponsors will most likely keep those sponsors.

If you have an outside sponsor that you want to be in your team name, you may email adam@racefactorygaming.com (edit: or chris@racefactorygaming.com), but that sponsor needs to be an official rF/MXS sponsor, and actually support the game or rF in some way, we do not offer "free" sponsorship (prizes, shipping costs, website costs, etc) even though we are non-profit.

For those wondering. No sponsors are confirmed for 2014 for rF; therefore, no sponsors are guaranteed at this point. As I've told everyone so far, if there is an rF 2014, and if there are teams in 2014, and if there are sponsors in 2014, I will do my best to make everyone happy with their arrangement. Teams like MotoSport are not official at this point, but they have been told if all of those items are a yes, and MotoSport is a sponsor, they will keep that name.

Companies "born" in MXS will still be allowed (as of the time I type this message) to sponsor a team... (FAMMX and SD off the top of my head).

I will end with this... PLEASE STOP CONTACTING INDUSTRY COMPANIES AND ASKING FOR SPONSORSHIP FOR YOUR TEAM.

No teams other than made up teams are "a go" right now. Until there is a definite answer to the above questions from the guys who have to put in the most work for rF, no teams will be set in stone.

I don't mean to be rude, but why this rule? In games such as iRacing if you can get the sponsor you're good.
