Welcome to the official race thread for the 2013 SX Shootout presented by FloPlates, Marius Fjeldbu, and EMF! With the EVS Sports SX Open taking a year off, Barrington and I decided it would be a good idea to host a race with a similar format. Add in Scott Simmons of MXSTV hooking us up with live coverage of both nights, sweet prizes from FloPlates, and Marius Fjeldbu bringing in more cash money for the winners, and you get one sweet two-night event! Here's how it's all going to shake down.
Dates
-This will be a TWO-NIGHT EVENT, with Night 1 being on Thursday, December 19, 2013 and Night 2 being on Friday, December 20, 2013.
-UID grabs for qualifying (BOTH NIGHTS) will be at 7PM CST (Same time as the FAMmx Fall Cup).
-Signups will open sometime during the week on mxsemf.com, most likely Monday or Tuesday.
Format
-Both nights of this event will have qualifying immediately before racing.
-The track will be released an hour before UID grabs and the password will be released at the top of this post 10 minutes before UID grabs.
-If we have more than 66 riders show up for qualifying, qualifying will be split into 2 servers.
-Each group, no matter how many groups form, will get two 10-minute sessions on the track to qualify for Night 1, and two 12-minute sessions for Night 2.
-Qualifying groups will be limited to 22 riders.
-This is a PRO ONLY event. Amateurs stay tuned. I think I might throw in an amateur race the week after, but that's up in the air.
-This event will feature the new 2014 AMA 450 SX format, with Heats, Semis, LCQ's, and the Main event.
-The top 4 in each Heat and the Semi winner will be brought into special events between the LCQ and Main Event on each night.
-Night 1 will feature SuperPole racing and Night 2 will have a 3-lap Dash for Cash.

-6:00PM CST: Track is released (password protected)
-6:50PM: Track password is released in this thread
-7:00PM: UIDs are grabbed from everyone in elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19802. If you are not in Elsinore 02 at this time your UID will not be grabbed!
-7:05PM: Qualifying begins in elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19802, and in the event of 66+ riders showing up, 64.85.161.142:19800 will open for qualifying as well.
-8:05PM: Qualifying ends and opening ceremonies begin on http://twitch.tv/mxs_tv. All riders are to report to elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19802 at this time.
-8:15PM: UIDs are grabbed from everyone in elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19802 and Heat Races are formed.
-8:20PM: Open Class Heat 1 (8 Laps, 20 Riders, Top 4 advance to main)
-8:35PM: Open Class Heat 2 (8 Laps, 20 Riders, Top 4 advance to main)

-9:00PM: Open Class Semi 1 (6 Laps, 16 Riders, Top 5 advance to main)
-9:10PM: Open Class Semi 2 (6 Laps, 16 Riders, Top 5 advance to main)

-9:30PM: Open Class LCQ (4 Laps, 22 Riders, Top 4 advance to main)
-9:40PM: Special Event (Superpole on Night 1, Dash for Cash on Night 2)

Prizing (tentative, subject to change)
-Drew Yenerich of FloPlates.com has hooked us up with some sweet deals for prizing, and Marius Fjeldbu is putting in a huge chunk of money for each night. Thank you both so much! I also put in some money to supplement what Marius is putting up.
-Nightly Main Event winners will receive a free FloPlate and $50.
-Nightly 2nd place finishers will receive $25 and 20% off one FloPlate.
-Nightly 3rd place finishers will receive $25 and 15% off one FloPlate.
-Everyone who makes a main event will receive 10% off one FloPlate.
