Race Factory Gaming Automated Racing System

Post by wheels1758 »

Welcome Racers!

The Race Factory Gaming Automated Racing System is here! (Well, in a little while...)

How it works:

Riders will log in to RaceFactoryGaming.com and navigate to the racing lobby. http://www.racefactorygaming.com/lobby/
If an upcoming race is scheduled, the details will be displayed.
10 minutes before the event, riders may check in (Press the Join Race button).
5 minutes before the event, check in will close (timing on this may be a little iffy, make sure you show up a few minutes early)
Shortly after this, a link will be displayed showing the riders to which server they need to connect.
Make sure you connect as soon as possible.

The server will automatically run a supercross event.

Then repeat.

Schedule (for now):
The Race Factory Gaming ARS is planned to be run 12 hours per day, 3 days per week.
There will be 4 different classes running during this time, a new class each hour.
The rotation will be 125, 250f, 250, 450f. This will repeat 3 times.

The first race will begin at 12 Noon - Pacific (about 1 hour from now).
12:00 - 125 (SHOW UP AT 11:50!)
13:00 - 250f
14:00 - 250 2t
16:00 - 450f
17:00 - 125
18:00 - 250f
19:00 - 250 2t
20:00 - 450f
21:00 - 125
22:00 - 250f
23:00 - 250 2t
00:00 - 450f

Race Details:
Must ride an allowed bike. Make sure you set your stuff up or you will be homologated to a default bike.
Heat 1 - 20 Riders - 6 Laps - Top 9 to main
Heat 2 - 20 Riders - 6 Laps - Top 9 to main
LCQ - 20 Riders - 4 Laps - Top 4 to main
Main Event - 22 Riders - 15 Laps

Remember, check in starts 10 minutes before the hour and closes at 5 til. Show up early so you don't miss out!

At this time only 120 slots are available. If the number of riders is much more than that, we will do our best to accommodate everyone, but the current server limit is 3!

DISCLAIMER: There are quite a few pieces to this puzzle that need to work together in order for the system to function properly. Things can, and most likely will, go wrong. We ask that you please bear with us through the working out the bugs in the system. If something does go wrong and you aren't able to race (the server doesn't function properly), please let us know (this thread is fine) and we will try to get it fixed. Once this server is up and running as advertised, there will be plenty of racing to keep you guys busy. At this time, results from the races will not post, but racer rating points WILL reflect the races that have been completed. If you have any feedback, please feel free to express it here. We reserve the right to make changes as we see fit.

Sorry, forgot to mention.

MAKE SURE YOU RELOAD THE LOBBY PAGE AFTER YOU RACE. THE PAGE WON'T RELOAD BECAUSE I AM A NOOB AND DON'T WANT TO BREAK IT RIGHT NOW! THIS WILL BE FIXED FOR THE FUTURE.

Awesome ! that will offer some races to people who usually cannot qualify, or who can't play on main events times .

At this time we are planning to run today and tomorrow (obviously, only if the darn thing works). Then next week resume with 3 days (Monday-Wednesday).

Looks cool, but is there a license restriction? I just went to click join race and it gave me the o with a slash thru it.

Couple of questions. One, will there be a limit on the number of races we can race in? Two, are we only allowed to race one class? Also, thanks you for doing this! I admit I was skeptical at first, but now I think this will be a great system that will get more people involved in and racing. Especially with the many different classes and times to race at.
