2015 Dead Meat Amateur MXSoN
Posted: Tue Sep 29, 2015 9:03 pm
We're announcing this a bit early, but we want an ample amount of time to get everything sorted before race day. I will post any necessary updates in this thread.
Note: To any pro riders wondering, we do not plan on hosting a pro MXSoN. I've heard maybe EMF may host it, if not maybe rF will who knows.
Race Details:
- Date: Friday, November 6th @ 8 PM EST
- Track: TBA
- Format: 3 moto's, 20 minutes + 2 laps each
- 20 teams/nations can race
- Race server: dm.flowtechmxs.com:19846
- Practice server: dm.flowtechmxs.com:19847
How An Amateur Is Classified:
- Any rider with no 2015 pro points in rF racing.
Moto Details:
- Moto 1: MXGP + MX2
- Moto 2: Open + MX2
- Moto 3: MXGP + Open
Scoring System:
- Olympic scoring system
- Example: 1st place = 1 point, 2nd place = 2 points
- Lowest team score wins
- Worst moto score of each team will be dropped
Teams:
- 3 riders per team, MXGP (450), MX2 (250), Open (250/450)
- Each team will represent a nation
- Each rider on the team must run the nation's team name (Example: "John Doe | Team Japan")
- Numbers for each team will be assigned based off of randomization
- Each team may have an alternate rider who can step in if one of their main riders cannot make the event
Sign Ups:
- Sign ups open now, and will be open until either 20 teams sign up, or October 16th, whichever comes first
- When signing up each team needs to have a confirmed 3 man roster, each team can list an alternate if they would like
Team/Nation Selection System:
- When signing up, each team will list 3 nations they have interest in representing, each team should get one of the 3 they list. If it is not possible for the team to get one of the three they listed, I will PM the team captain
- If multiple teams sign up with the same nation as their #1 pick, the admins will review the teams and the nation will be given to the team with the most impressive results from DM/rF amateur racing
- The nations and numbers will be announced shortly after sign ups close
Team Numbers:
- Once sign ups fill or are closed, the list of nations will be randomized, and the team numbers determined. Each team must run their assigned team #'s, or they may be penalized.
