There should be limited how much can go to the lcq too.Cuz its like destruction derby everywhere.
Re: 2010 Supercross Series Rd 5 - Thursday Night Feb 4
It wouldn't be as bad if people were calmer during the LCQ and remembered to use brakes before turns.
Re: 2010 Supercross Series Rd 5 - Thursday Night Feb 4
Will be hard since most of the guys are just heading for the top spots, or getting qualified
Re: 2010 Supercross Series Rd 5 - Thursday Night Feb 4
Actually, I just toned down the jumps. I kept your whoops and the berms where it was possible.Garasaki wrote:Truth be told, JLV is the one who created the disp map. It rides awesome,

I dont get to race this series due to time constraints, but its such a cool thing your doing guys. Its the first time Ive seen an mx game have races that coincide with actual events. Very cool, so props for the work.
If I may post a few suggestions for the track makers for the sake of online racing:
- Add a little more width to tracks, like a bike width or so.
- Add a little more "crash recovery" space in between lanes if possible
- More gradual slope & height to berms. Some of them seem like they are 2ft high with a 45% slope in about 2 ft of space, if that makes sense.
Again, just some areas to consider for online racing. Nothing thats going to make the fast guys lose out on technical sections of track, it gives lappers more space, it gives crashers more room between lanes for recovery.

The berms are generally 5 feet at the highest point, run at a .5 slope down to 2.5 feet, and then gradually roll out to flat. This seems to be working well as far as which jump combos it allows. Too much berm and everyone will be doing crazy jump combos like it was nothing. As it is now, only the elite riders are doing the really difficult James Stewart lines.
There are also some intentionally low "curb berms" and off cambers, but those are special cases.

The tracks are already 1.25:1 scale. Any bigger and it starts to look like a truck track.JohnnyMac wrote:I dont get to race this series due to time constraints, but its such a cool thing your doing guys. I can take all the berms, but its those curb berms I was refering to. If they could just be a bit higher with longer slope. :/

1:10s for this noob.
Re: 2010 Supercross Series Rd 5 - Thursday Night Feb 4
I think all online series should be with invited riders like sween did his sx series.Cuz alot of people who race first time etc etc joins and try to race, its like destruction derby on the first corner and couple first laps.If someone crashes you its hard to pass slow riders, cuz theyr all over the place, crashing and stuff. And fast riders cant join cuz server is full... And those who isnt invited could earn theyr umm racing ''respect'' or something, joining in demo series or just riding online you know.
Its just my opinion, but it would be really much better series.
Take a look at it Jlv and others.

Re: 2010 Supercross Series Rd 5 - Thursday Night Feb 4
The only bad part about invite riders is that what happens when an invite rider doesn't show? Who gets the next spot? What I think should happen is this:
The top 5 riders are preceeded regardless
The next top 35 lap times recorded on the server for that track have weight over the other riders
Rider A has a lap time outside the top 35, and within the server he has the longest lap time
Rider B has a lap time inside the top 35
Rider A is in the server, and the server is now full
Rider B tries to enter the server and is getting the server full message
Rider A get's kicked and Rider B is allowed to enter
