Is the race gonna be on the prepped version and using erode?
Or is the rF crew waiting till supercross to race with erode

Pretty sure the plan was to finish outdoors without using erode during the races then do all that testing in offseason

It seems like the ruts and bumps were largely made with the in game erode system, which has quite frankly always sucked at making good ruts in corners. I hate the tip toey feeling that the choppy ruts give the track. That said, I've been told Unadilla is terrible and rough, so maybe you can call that a success.

The shadows in some of the rougher sections are hard to see, but I like the roughness. Everything seems to feel a bit more natural to how this game rides around the track, whereas before sections didn't always flow but the way they designed the ruts, you had to make it flow a certain way. This track feels really nice and you can hit your lines pretty consistently too (knocking on wood for tonight)

Am I allowed to have an "off season" to maybe not stay up until 1am getting things done?

I can see a world where we just use erode to make the tracks, then leave them as is for the motos (since erode is hard on computers). The rF crew will have a group of guys to do a 30 minute moto or whatever and roughen up the track, then polish up the bad spots and we race on it. Maybe you guys don't like that idea, but that would save the track crew hours and hours of work making ruts (going back in game, testing ruts, re-working them, tweaking the ruts until they ride well, etc.

Ruts on landings don't work. Ruts on landings don't work. Ruts on landings don't work. Ruts on landings don't work. Ruts on landings don't work.

especially when they are backwards

Don't hold it wide open 24/7. Woah, more life hacks. Just because you can't ride it doesn't mean it's shit.

I personally like this style of roughness. It's choppy and some of the faces are beat up. Change your riding style or lines if you're constantly crashing on something. Mx tracks get beat to shit.
